To assess the level of popularity for the recently debuted K-pop groups, the Korean Business Research Institute unveiled its latest brand reputation rankings, which includes up-and-coming groups that have gained attention in May 2024.
Based on information from reliable sources, data was gathered by the institute during the period of April 2 to May 2. The results were subsequently determined through the analysis of various factors related to popularity, including consumer participation, media coverage, and engagement with fans.
Top 10 K-pop Rookie Groups of May 2024
ILLITE
ILLIT maintains its position as the top brand in reputation rankings with a score of 5,335,252. The group has consistently generated buzz in the K-pop industry through their accomplishments, music show victories, and captivating music.
2. TWS
TWS achieved a top three ranking this May with a brand reputation index of 4,377,016.
Babymonster
BABYMONSTER attained the third position with a brand reputation index of 3,252,218.
ZEROBASEONE

ZEROBASEONE achieved a brand reputation index of 1,555,709, resulting in a ranking of No. 4.
RIIZE – A Revolutionary Way to Achieve Success
RIIZE secured the fifth spot with a brand reputation index of 1,420,204. The boy group has also been making waves in the K-pop community with their active presence in the industry, interactions with fans, and the launch of their updated lightstick.
Kiss of Life
KISS OF LIFE, which is slowly gaining recognition as one of the prominent fifth-generation groups, was also listed in the rankings. According to the institute, KISS OF LIFE earned the sixth spot with a brand reputation index of 1,362,614.
7. UNITED
On March 27, UNIS made their debut with their first mini album “We UNIS,”featuring the title track “Superwoman.”In May, the group achieved a remarkable brand reputation index of 1,097,962, securing the 7th position.
8. Boy Next Door
With a brand reputation index of 815,598, BOYNEXTDOOR secured the eighth place on the list.
9. Big O!
Big O!cean’s No. 9 ranking was a result of their impressive brand reputation index of 417,986.

The Top 10 was rounded out by tripleS, with a brand reputation index of 373,634. The girl group is set to drop their highly anticipated first full-length album “ASSEMBLE24″and its lead single “Girls Never Die”on May 8.
