Netflix’s hit reality show is back on track in season 2, which will welcome new participants and adopt a new theme. The official release date has been confirmed.
Netflix has been betting a lot on Korea lately, and its bet has paid off: in addition to the growing popularity of K-dramas, between Squid Game and Sweet Home, the streaming platform has also taken an interest in reality shows.
Among them, we can notably count 100% Physique!, whose competitive concept goes off the beaten track: here, it will only be a question of resistance and… physics! And to liven up the program, what could be better than offering the participation of the best athletes, bodybuilders and more?
The first season focused on Greek mythology, but the second will deviate from it to tackle a new subject. And recently, Netflix released lots of information on this new panel of its Korean reality show, including the release date.
Release date and time for season 2 of 100% Physique!
According to Tudum, Netflix’s official news site, the release date for 100% Physical! was set for March 19, 2024. See you on the streaming platform from 8 a.m. for the French public!
What will be the theme and who will participate in season 2 of 100% Physique?
As with the first season, 100 contestants will challenge each other through a series of physically demanding events, until only one remains.
The first season looked at Greek mythology, recalling myths like that of Icarus, or the torture of Sisyphus and his rock. For season 2, however, we will have a change of scenery: welcome to an underground mine! Note, however, that one detail will remain unchanged: the plaster busts of the participants, destroyed during their elimination.
Regarding the candidates, Netflix announced that some of the famous athletes will include “Kim Dong-hyun, Korea’s top UFC fighter with the most wins for the country; Lee Won-hee, judo gold medalist; and Anthony Jung, gold medalist in wrestling.”
That’s not all, because season 2 of 100% Physique! will also include actors, singers, police officers, soldiers and other “FBI diplomats” in its cast.
At this stage, Netflix has not yet confirmed the number of episodes that season 2 of 100% Physique! will have, or even the amount of the prize awarded to the winner. But with the release scheduled for March, future announcements are expected.
