Reflecting on Her Past

In her poignant messages, she confessed: “I changed my name and am living under a different name now. Recently, broadcasters have been contacting me and even visiting the restaurant where I worked, prompting me to take a break.” Her openness about her struggles resonated deeply with fans.

Lee Gai expressed her profound regret, saying, “I deceived the fan club and the public and have not lived a single day in peace since my departure from the group. As one of the founding members of Baby V.O.X, which debuted in 1997, Lee Gai initially claimed she was born in 1978. In a shocking revelation, she actually entered the world a decade earlier, in 1968. She disclosed that her management team had convinced her to misrepresent her age, saying, “You look like you’re 20. Everyone does this. How long will your career last?”

Reflecting on this manipulation, she admitted, “I was enticed by the prospect of wealth and foolishly misled fans and the public. However, as the old saying goes, the truth does eventually surface. Once my real age was revealed, it forced my departure from the group.”

She recounted the heart-wrenching moment of her exit, tearfully sharing, “The members begged me not to go and clung to me, crying. Yet, my conscience wouldn’t let me stay or maintain contact with them.”
