2024 August Idol Group Brand Reputation Rankings: aespa Takes the Top Spot

Based on the examination of large-scale data on the brand reputation of idol groups in August 2024, it was revealed that the top three positions were secured by aespa, SEVENTEEN, and IVE, respectively.

During the period from the 15th of last month to the 15th of this month, the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute collected 76,116,437 data points on idol group brands to conduct a brand reputation analysis. This month’s data showed a 5.05% decrease compared to the brand reputation data of 80,164,793 collected in July.

In August 2024, aespa, SEVENTEEN, IVE, Red Velvet, TripleS, Stray Kids, TWICE, BLACKPINK, NCT, SHINee, Enhypen, BTS, LE SSERAFIM, TWS, Girls’ Generation, Kiss Off Life, The Boyz, (G)I-DLE, ILLIT, RIIZE, INFINITE, NMIXX, EXO, BTOB, HIGHLIGHT, Super Junior, ZB1, Oh My Girl, Apink, and Monsta X were listed as the TOP30 of the Idol Group Brand Reputation Rankings.

Despite a decrease of 17.51% from last month, aespa still achieved the top spot with a total score of 5,112,784 (participation index of 203,742, media index of 589,204, communication index of 1,973,367, and community index of 2,346,469).

Even though there was a 4.63% decrease in brand score compared to July, SEVENTEEN still achieved second place with a total brand score of 3,928,255 (participation index 357,602; media index 586,236; communication index 1,292,471, and community index 1,691,946).

The brand score for IVE was 3,807,785, with a participation index of 295,862, a media index of 414,888, a communication index of 1,069,102, and a community index of 2,027,933. This represents a decrease of 17.20% compared to the previous month’s figure.

Director Koo Chang-hwan, from the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute, highlighted that in August 2024, the aespa brand was commonly associated with terms such as “long run”, “powerful”, and “demonstrate”. The keyword analysis also revealed that “Supernova”, “music power”, and “global tour”were the most mentioned terms.
