The 2024 Buil Film Awards took place at Signiel Busan in Haeundae-gu, Busan, Korea on October 3rd. Actor Kim Dong-wook served as the MC alongside Go Ah-sung for this prestigious event.
The film Revolver garnered the grand prize (Daesang) for Best Film. Han Jae-duk, the CEO of the production company Men’s Pictures, honored the cast and extended his gratitude to lead actress Jeon Do-yeon by stating, “This prize is given to me thanks to Jeon Do-yeon.”
Jung Woo-sung, who received the Best Actor award for 12.12: The Day, remarked, “This award is too heavy for me to hold alone. It was Hwang Jung-min who highlighted the villain’s anguish opposite Lee Tae-shin. I keep thinking of Jung-min as Jeon Du-kwang. Thank you.”
Kim Geum-soon of Jeong-sun was awarded Best Actress, stating, “My heart is about to explode. Thank you for giving me such a precious award,” as she expressed her deep emotions.
Lim Ji-yeon took home the Best Supporting Actress award, reflecting on her journey: “I won the Best New Actress Award at the Buil Film Awards 10 years ago. Now I stand here for the first time in 10 years and receive the Best Supporting Actress Award,” indicating her long-standing relationship with the ceremony.
Furthermore, Kim Young-sung of Big Sleep was named Best New Actor, while Jung Soo-jung of Cobweb won Best New Actress.
