The 2024 Pokemon World Championships have arrived, and players of Pokemon Go can now complete a Timed Research challenge to capture multiple powerful creatures.
The 2024 Pokemon World Championships will honor the top players from around the globe in the VGC, TCG, and Pokemon Go categories. As part of the celebration, Niantic will once again host a special event in Pokemon Go.
The upcoming World Championships will feature a variety of activities, such as completing Field Research tasks, participating in Mega Raids with Kanghaskan, and taking on the Thundurus 5-Star Raids. Additionally, players who complete the paid Timed Research will have the opportunity to encounter powerful Pokemon, including the legendary Cresselia.

2024 World Championships Timed Research Tasks & Rewards
According to Leek Duck, the 2024 World Championships Timed Research in Pokemon Go has been revealed. Take a look at what it has in store.
- Power up Pokemon five times – Skarmory encounter
- Power up Pokemon 10 times – Vigoroth encounter
- Use five Super-effective Charged Attacks – Galarian Stunfisk encounter
- Use 10 Super-effective Charged Attacks – Charjabug encounter
- Win a Raid – Carbink encounter
- Win two Raids – Lanturn encounter
- Battle in the GO Battle League – Lickitung encounter
- Battle in the GO Battle League five times – Azumarill encounter
The rewards for completing this challenge include a Cresselia encounter, 25000 Stardust, and a Premium Battle Pass.
The Timed Research offers valuable rewards, as it includes some of the top Pokemon for the Great League, such as Skarmory, Carbink, Lickitung, and Azumarill. In addition, completing the research also grants a Premium Battle Pass and a chance to encounter a Legendary Pokemon.
Accessing the 2024 World Championships Timed Research
This Timed Research challenge is priced at $5.00 USD or the equivalent in one’s local currency. Trainers may also choose to gift a ticket to a friend, as long as they have achieved the status of Great Friends or higher in their Friendship level.
As this is a Timed Research event, both the challenge and rewards will expire. It is important to claim all rewards by 8:00 PM on August 20, 2024 in your local time.
