Meta Analysis

Unlike many games, nearly every Operator in Rainbow Six Siege has strengths to leverage. However, the design of certain Operators significantly boosts their performance compared to others.

The introduction of Skopós has yet to majorly affect the meta, as current functionality issues limit its utility at this point. While the development team has implemented several fixes as of September, there remains room for improvement before it ascends to the top tiers.

Let’s delve into our Rainbow Six tier list, ranking attackers from top to bottom.

S-Tier Attackers

Buck

Buck in R6
Ubisoft / dexerto

Buck is a 2-speed, 2-health Operator.

This Canadian attacker functions like a one-man army. His C8-SFW Assault Rifle inflicts substantial damage but has high recoil. To counter this, the CAMRS Marksman Rifle serves as an excellent alternative. Both weapons possess the Skeleton Key fire mode, which allows players to create breaches in walls and floors.

Whether you’re a novice or an experienced player, Buck’s vertical gameplay can help you outsmart opponents. Additionally, Buck carries Hard Breach Charges, enabling him to assist in breaching reinforced hatches or walls. Use Buck’s Stun Grenades to seize control of the site, granting your team space to strategize their attacks.

Thatcher

Thatcher in R6
Ubisoft / dexerto

Thatcher is a 1-speed, 3-health Operator.

The primary drawback of Thatcher is his frequent bans, reflecting his strength in the game. His EMP grenades are the most useful and versatile gadgets, efficiently disabling anything electronic within their radius, making them challenging to counter.

Despite a nerf to his speed, his robust loadout options, especially the L85A2, combined with his overpowered gadget, positions him among the best attackers in the game.

Thermite

Thermite in R6
Ubisoft / dexerto

Thermite is a 2-speed, 2-health Operator.

When it comes to hard breachers, Thermite stands out as the best choice. His gadgets are user-friendly, and the 556xi Assault Rifle delivers excellent damage, making it easy to manage recoil.

Thermite’s Exothermic Charges can breach entire reinforced walls, a feat unmatched by Ace, Hibana, or Maverick. No matter which map you’re playing on, Thermite proves to be an exceptional choice, except perhaps on Favela!

A-Tier Attackers

Ace

Ace in R6
Ubisoft / dexerto

Ace is a 2-speed, 2-health Operator.

Starting off the A-tier attackers is Ace, who boasts a well-rounded mix of weapons and gadgets. Though he does not breach entirely like Thermite, his AK-12 has considerable firepower.

Equipped with three S.E.L.M.A Aqua Breachers, Ace presents ample opportunities to breach hatches and reinforced walls but can be susceptible to being countered if not employed strategically. Ace excels on maps like Kafe Dostoyevsky and Clubhouse.

Brava

Brava in R6
Ubisoft / dexerto

Brava is a 3-speed, 1-health Operator.

While Twitch can disable enemy drones and gadgets with her Shock Drones, Brava takes it a step further by hacking enemy gadgets! This allows for control over defender cameras, giving your team a tactical advantage.

If the opposing team does not act quickly, your team can gain a significant edge in the match, particularly effective against a Kapkan on maps like Border or Chalet.

Grim

Grim in R6
Ubisoft / dexerto

Grim is a 3-speed, 1-health Operator.

Following a buff in Operation Dread Factor, Grim has emerged as a potent attacker and climbed in our tier list. Armed with Hard Breach Charges, he stands ready to step up if Ace or Hibana falter. His Kawan Hive Launcher has increased area coverage and duration, making him invaluable on extensive maps like Kafe Dostoyevsky.

Despite the 552 Commando not being the top assault rifle in the game, his new secondary addition, Baliff, enhances his vertical gameplay opportunities on Kafe or Border.

Hibana

Hibana in R6
Ubisoft / dexerto

Hibana is a 3-speed, 1-health Operator.

As another hard breacher from the early days of R6 alongside Thermite, Hibana’s Type-89 AR is user-friendly but has a smaller magazine size, necessitating careful play.

Her X-KAIROS Pellets deploy in pairs up to six, facilitating various strategies to outwit opponents, especially useful when facing a Bandit. Pairing her with Thermite for breaching reinforced walls complicates Bandit’s ability to trick two walls simultaneously.

Jackal

Jackal in R6
Ubisoft / dexerto

Jackal is a 2-speed, 2-health Operator.

If allowed to play, Jackal can be an exceptional attacker. His Eyenox Model III can track enemy footsteps, revealing their live locations.

The C7E AR is manageable, and the ITA12L secondary shotgun provides options for hatches and soft wall breaches, enhancing his utility against defenders. Jackal excels in larger maps like Kafe, Theme Park, and Clubhouse.

Time

Kali in R6
Ubisoft / dexerto

Kali is a 2-speed, 2-health Operator.

As a substitute for Thatcher, Kali’s LV Explosive Lances from her CSRX 300 Marksman Rifle can destroy all electronic and mechanical enemy gadgets in their vicinity.

Her ability to play from a distance with the CSRX 300 Marksman Rifle and the strategic use of Claymores makes Kali a prime choice in post-plant scenarios.

Mountain

Montagne in R6
Ubisoft / dexerto

Montagne is a 1-speed, 3-health Operator.

Montagne wields a body-sized Extendable Shield that can effectively block incoming projectiles, such as Nitro Cells! A well-coordinated team can leverage him to effectively control engagements.

He provides valuable information regarding defenders, allowing the team to plan their attacks, while his shield grants complete cover for planting the Defuser, making him useful on maps like Border and Clubhouse.

Ram

Ram in R6
Ubisoft / dexerto

Ram is a 1-speed, 3-health Operator.

The introduction of Ram offers a fresh dynamic to Rainbow Six Siege. Equipped with an R4-C similar to Ash, her BU-GI Auto-Breacher creates chaos on the field.

Its loud operation demolishes destructible walls and floors, enabling Attackers to push into bomb sites more effectively. The noise can mask approaching footsteps, thereby allowing Ram to surprise enemies, potentially tipping the scales in favor of her team.
