In 2024, Pokemon Go introduced a number of new species to the game. However, some trainers have raised concerns about a significant problem with these additions that has them worried about future updates.
The introduction of any new Pokemon in Pokemon Go never fails to generate excitement among players. They eagerly anticipate the opportunity to acquire and utilize the new species in both PvP and PvE battles.
Despite numerous debuts in the mobile game since March 2024, trainers have been determined to catch them all. However, a Reddit user by the name of ‘RafRide’ raised a concern about these debuts in a post where they stated, “It’s been 3 months into 2024 and there have been no new mons released in the wild.”
The OP pointed out that six new species were added to Pokemon Go in 2024. These creatures could be obtained through Raids, Eggs, Research tasks, and unique evolution requirements. However, none of them could be encountered as wild spawns.
A user expressed their nostalgia by stating, “I miss the days when we would see silhouettes of new Pokemon nearby.”They also mentioned how players enjoyed venturing out to discover new species, similar to when Gen 2 was released.
Furthermore, some individuals contributed by stating that the gradual release of new Pokemon has only become more frustrating since then. In addition, trainers expressed their desire for unexpected debuts without prior announcements, which would generate more anticipation and enthusiasm among fans.
“Regarding the limited availability of new Pokemon through Eggs or Trading, a player expressed their desire for some species to be released in the wild. They hope to be able to hunt for PvP IVs and have the opportunity to use these Pokemon in lower CP leagues without resorting to dubious hatching and trading methods.”
Trainers were also surprised by the fact that Charcadet, with its two evolutions and availability only through Eggs, and Drampa, which can only be obtained through Prime Gaming quests, were both included in the game.
Despite the absence of wild spawns, others criticized the fact that certain rare species were only accessible through a paid ticket. “I’m really disappointed that the new content is only available with a paid ticket,”one user expressed.
As 2024 approaches, the community eagerly anticipates a variety of new Pokemon Go releases in the wild, making it easier for players to catch them all.
