After the August 8 update patch, many of the College Football 25 fans are facing a major problem with the game and have even gone as far as describing it as “unplayable”at the moment.
After years of anticipation, fans of College Football were finally given what they had been waiting for when EA SPORTS released College Football 25. In record numbers, over a million players have eagerly begun playing Road to Glory and Dynasty modes in hopes of leaving their mark on their preferred college teams.
Although the game has gained popularity, it has not been without its challenges. Players have voiced their concerns about glitches in Dynasty mode, broken tackling mechanics, and illogical Sim Logic.
The August 8 patch, which was the first major update for CFB 25 after its launch, successfully tackled numerous issues. While initially praised by players, it was soon discovered that there was a significant problem with poor performance from Offensive Linemen.
According to Redditor SpicyXGarry, the offensive line has become extremely weak after the patch. They shared a video showing the lack of protection provided to the quarterback. Another player also confirmed this, stating that it happens on every passing play.
Several players have expressed their frustration with the current state of the game after the recent patch. While there were some issues before the patch, the gameplay was generally enjoyable. However, now it is a gamble whether or not the game will be playable. Another player commented that the game has actually worsened since the patch.

Despite the poor OLine play, some fans have found a silver lining. One fan noted, “The pathetic OLine play in CFB25 has actually helped me learn a variety of quick hitter plays.”
Some have attempted to address it by utilizing in-game sliders, but opinions on their effectiveness are divided among players. One player stated, “I’ve always believed the sliders were just a placebo. I’ve never noticed a difference.”
EA will need to address the issue soon as it is causing frustration for players. Hopefully, they will be able to resolve it promptly.
