On June 27th, a meeting was held at the YG office building in Hapjeong-dong, Seoul between executive producer Yang Hyun-suk and 2NE1 members CL, Park Bom, Sandara Park, and Gong Minzy, as confirmed by YG Entertainment.
Yang Hyun-suk greeted all four members of 2NE1 with a warm welcome. According to YG, their official meeting lasted two hours and was filled with meaningful and thoughtful discussions.
2NE1 holds a special place in YG’s heart. While BLACKPINK has undoubtedly cemented their status as a top-tier girl group and BABYMONSTER has also made a strong debut, 2NE1 remains the original YG girl group with the trademark “YG DNA”.
The gathering between Yang Hyun-suk and 2NE1 garnered significant attention from fans and K-pop enthusiasts worldwide. This was not a casual get-together, but rather an official meeting as the members visited the YG office for the first time. With the added significance of the group’s 15th debut anniversary and their personal meeting with Yang Hyun-suk, it is highly likely that 2NE1 is in the works for a new project.
During the recent reunion between Yang Hyun-suk and the 2NE1 members after 8 long years, no concrete plans were discussed.
