On the evening of October 5th at 6 PM, the eagerly awaited “2024 2NE1 CONCERT [WELCOME BACK] IN SEOUL” took place at the Olympic Hall, located in Olympic Park, Bangi-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul. This thrilling three-day event, running from October 4th to 6th, saw all tickets sell out rapidly, including those with restricted views, showcasing the lasting appeal of 2NE1.
During the concert’s conclusion, CL conveyed her heartfelt thanks, stating, “I’m grateful we could come together on such a significant occasion.” Dara fondly reflected, “This venue (Olympic Hall) is especially meaningful as it hosted our inaugural concert.” She went on to say, “Our fans have faced many challenges, and we appreciate your long wait. Memories from our days as 2NE1 are flooding back. Get ready for our upcoming performances. CL is going to amaze you all.”
Minzy added, “While getting ready for this concert, I reconnected with many colleagues from our past. I love you all, including our wonderful Blackjacks (2NE1’s fanbase).” Park Bom also shared her joy, saying, “I’m thrilled to be here with each of you. A big thank you to my fellow members as well.”
Dara particularly noted, “Many fans couldn’t make it due to the overwhelming ticket demand for this event. Therefore, I think we should plan for an encore concert at a larger venue.” Her suggestion was met with enthusiastic cheers from the audience. Although CL seemed a bit flustered by this, she expressed her desire for everyone to leave with fond memories from the concert, underlining the positive vibes experienced that day.
Looking ahead, 2NE1 is gearing up for an Asia tour, with this Seoul concert marking the starting point. The tour will consist of 15 performances across 9 cities, including stops in Manila, Jakarta, Kobe, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Singapore, Bangkok, and Taipei, aiming to reach an even wider global audience.
