As August comes to a close, numerous K-pop idols have grabbed attention with their social media posts, new music releases, activities, and accomplishments.
To determine the level of popularity among K-pop idols in August, the Korean Business Research Institute released its latest brand reputation rankings. Data was collected from July 22 to August 22 by the organization.
The findings were subsequently derived by examining variables such as consumer involvement, media coverage of the idols, and their overall interaction with fans.
Top 30 K-pop Idols in August 2024
aespa’s Karina
Karina achieved the No. 1 spot for August with a brand reputation index of 3,371,337. She also garnered attention as the newest brand ambassador for Prada and for her content releases, social media updates, and activities with aespa.
2. IVE Jang Wonyoung
Despite facing tough competition, Jang Wonyoung secured the second spot with a brand reputation index of 3,442,962. Her social media presence, particularly her updates and schedules with IVE, caused quite a stir among fans.
ASTRO Member Cha Eun Woo
With a brand reputation index of 3,251,136, Cha Eun Woo successfully secured a spot in the Top 3.
Girls’ Generation Taeyeon
After achieving a brand reputation index of 3,0-87,642, Taeyeon reached the No. 4 spot. She also gained attention for her collaboration with Sam Smith on the song “I’m Not The Only One”in celebration of the 10th anniversary of his album “In The Lonely Hour.”
BTS Jin
Jin ranked fifth with a brand reputation index of 2,977,916.

Despite facing tough competition, Ahn Yujin’s hard work and dedication paid off as she achieved a brand reputation index of 2,302,093, securing her position at seventh place.
aespa Winter
Winter achieved a brand reputation index of 2,188,874, securing the No. 8 spot.
KISS OF LIFE by Natty
Natty was awarded a brand reputation index of 2,047,084, earning the 9th rank.
RIIZE Wonbin
Wonbin’s brand reputation index of 1,958,766 landed him a spot in the top 10.
