The premiere date for the anime 365 Days to the Wedding has been confirmed to be October 3, 2024 by the official staff on Friday, August 16, 2024. Additionally, the staff also shared information about the anime’s opening and ending theme songs.
As an adaptation of the eponymous Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tamiki Wakaki, 365 Days to the Wedding anime is a production of Asahi Productions. The manga was serialized in Shogakukan’s Weekly Big Comic Spirits magazine from March 2020 to June 2023 and spanned 11 Tankobon volumes.
365 Days to the Wedding Anime Premieres on October 3, 2024
On Friday, August 16, 2024, the release date for the 365 Days to the Wedding anime was announced on the official website and X (formerly Twitter) account as October 3, 2024.
In addition to this announcement, the broadcasting schedule has been released, indicating that the anime will be shown every Thursday at 11:30 pm JST on Tokyo MX and BS11, beginning on October 3, 2024.
The romantic comedy anime will have a special showing on September 14, 2024, at 5 pm JST at TOHO Cinemas in Tokyo. After the screening, there will be a talk show featuring the voice actors of Takuya Ohara (Kentaro Kumagai), Rika Honjoji (Saori Hayami), and Tamiki Wakaki-san, the original creator, where fans can interact and ask questions.
The information on the opening and ending theme songs for the 365 Days to the Wedding anime has been released. The opening theme, Kirakira (Sparkling), will be performed by a collaboration between HoneyWorks and HaKoniwalily, while GOHOBI will sing the ending theme, Tsumari Wa (In Short).
The anime’s official website has received comments from the artists of the respective theme songs, who expressed their hopes that fans would enjoy their music.
Cast, staff, and plot for 365 Days to the Wedding anime
As previously stated, Saori Hayami portrays the main female lead, Rika Honjoji, while Kentaro Kumagai takes on the role of the protagonist, Takuya Ohara. The rest of the cast includes Ami Koshimizu as Asako, Kana Asumi as Natsumi, Fukushi Ochiai as Hiromi, Kentaro Tone as Susumu Shinshi, Haruki Ishiya as Keisuke Itsuki, and Joji Nakata as Joji-san.
Hiroshi Ikehata, known for his significant contributions to the anime series Dark Gathering and FLCL: Progressive, serves as director for the show at Asahi Productions. Additionally, the scripts are written by Kazuho Hyodo.
Yusuke Seo and Shun Narita are recognized as the music composers, with Shuji Maruyama joining the team as the character designer. Ryosuke Naya has been appointed as the sound director at Mausu Studios.
After being inspired by Tamiki-san’s manga, the creators of the 365 Days to the Wedding anime developed a romantic comedy centered around Takuya and Rika, two employees at a travel agency in the bustling metropolis of Tokyo. Together, they uncover the company’s policy of prioritizing unmarried individuals for international assignments.
Rika is determined to prevent a transfer and seeks Takuya’s help for a solution. After considering their options, they decide to pretend to be married in order to remain in Tokyo. However, they are surprised to find that their “fake”marriage blossoms into a genuine one.
