Fans of the girl group ILY:1 became concerned when member Ririka recently posted comments on a fan communication app, including statements such as “Can you kidnap me? No, you can’t. Don’t write such comments,””Don’t cross the line,””Please,”and “I see many posts crossing the line these days. I’m a human, too.”She also addressed the issue of privacy by stating, “Sharing CCTV footage of the practice room is a little…”and questioning, “We have our privacy too, right?”These comments have sparked worries among fans.
The issue has sparked divided reactions among netizens. While some have argued that the messages were meant as jokes and that Ririka’s response was disproportionate, others have commented, “Perhaps she didn’t understand the humor because she is a foreign member?”, “Was her reaction too extreme?”, and “I believe they were just kidding.”
On the contrary, some netizens showed sympathy towards Ririka’s worries, stating “It must have been frightening and bothersome for her to receive those messages,””If she didn’t enjoy it, she should refrain from doing it again,””If she was scared, those messages should not have been sent to her anymore,””They definitely went too far,””Even if it was meant as a joke, boundaries should not be crossed,””It’s important to know the limit when it comes to joking,”and so on.
On June 4th, ILY:1 (Ara, Ririka, Hana, Rona, Nayu, and Elva)’s management company FC ENM released a statement on the group’s official channel, expressing concern for their artists who have been receiving distressing messages through personal social media and communication apps, causing them fear and anxiety.

They also emphasized the importance of cooperation and understanding in building a positive fan culture with the artists. The company remains committed to monitoring and protecting the well-being of the artists.”
