In the beginning of this year, the 3rd generation K-pop boy band OnlyOneOf embarked on their 2024 world tour, making stops at multiple locations around the globe. As of now, they have successfully performed in East Asia, Latin America, and North America.
During the American leg of the tour, a few lucky fans have the opportunity to take individual photos with their preferred OnlyOneOf member, resulting in a slightly uncomfortable situation.
According to Rie, a member of the group, South American fans were known for their intense passion and physical expressions of affection. He shared that several fans even asked to hug him after taking photos, and at least three fans kissed him on the cheeks without permission before quickly leaving.
“The male idol clarified on the fan communication platform Bubble that he was not the one who initiated the kiss, but rather, the other party had kissed him and then quickly left. He also mentioned that he would have declined if they had asked for a kiss beforehand, stating that it would have been concerning if he had been the one to initiate it.”
Rie acknowledged that he laughed it off, but many fans have since raised their concerns.
Specifically, numerous individuals were displeased with the tour organizer’s strictness in unnecessary matters, while also being lenient when it came to safeguarding the artists. This resulted in some fans being able to forcibly kiss Rie. Furthermore, there were calls for the fans who behaved inappropriately towards Rie to be banned from attending future events.
