On May 19, the latest installment of MBC’s popular entertainment show “King of Mask Singer“was broadcasted, showcasing the competition between the contenders “Hourglass”and “Golden Daughter.”

Despite losing in the second round, “Hourglass”shocked viewers by unmasking and revealing herself to be none other than IVE Liz.

At this point, she introduced herself and expressed her appreciation by stating:

“I felt pressure because I came here to represent my IVE members, but I really felt grateful that I was able to advance to the second round and perform well without any tension.”

On May 12th, she made her first appearance and emerged victorious against Kim Min Ah, NCT 127 Jungwoo’s older sister. During the appearance, they had a duet battle singing “Flower Way”by Kim Sejeong (Prod. by ZICO).

Undoubtedly, she managed to capture the hearts of both the viewers and judges through her gentle, angelic, and flawless vocals, as well as her unwavering tone and impeccable song interpretation, despite her nervousness.

During the second round, Liz captured the hearts of the audience with her cheerful and charming rendition of IU’s “Red Shoes,”which received glowing reviews from the celebrity judges.

Despite her impressive vocals, Liz also caught attention with her regal appearance, donning a blue dress and blonde locks that brought to mind Cinderella’s iconic look.

During the interview, she couldn’t conceal her popularity and revealed that she had been chosen as the most attractive student in her middle school. The IVE member recounted:

“There was a small entertainment agency in Jeju Island. When people came to our school and asked, ‘Who’s the prettiest girl here?’ They (unanimously) selected, ‘Kim Jiwon (Liz’s real name).”

The female idol’s confident response caused the viewers’ hearts to flutter.

In the 3rd year of middle school, Liz made the decision to pursue her dream of becoming a singer and participated in Starship’s open audition. After passing the screening, she joined the company as a trainee in 2019.

After training for approximately two years, Liz was ultimately chosen for IVE’s debut in 2021.

Despite being the primary vocalist in the group, Liz remains a popular subject due to her remarkable grace and poise, which perfectly embodies her stage name, Elizabeth.

Not only were K-pop enthusiasts impressed by her looks, but even her fellow member Rei admitted that Liz was the most beautiful among all the members of IVE.
