4th-Gen Idol Speaks Out About ‘Discord’ Between His Group and Agency: ‘I Can’t Take It Anymore’

4th-Gen Idol Exposes Alarming 'Discord' Between His Group, Agency: 'I Can't Take It Anymore'

On June 12, SSgt Eddie used the app Fromm to inform his fans about the true events taking place within the team and company.

The band made their debut in the music industry in August 2023 with their EP, “Birth of Cosmo.”

Before that, the members gained recognition among fans by participating in the 2022 survival program “Stars Awakening.”As a result, the seven members were chosen to form n.SSIgn, along with three new members.

Ever since, they have been actively promoting their music through various music shows and other content. Their latest release, the 2nd mini-album “Happy &,”came out in February 2024.

Despite being promoted as rookies, their debut did not go as smoothly as hoped. This was due to member Hyun going on a hiatus in July 2023, just before their official debut. Additionally, Doha requested to sit out of their second album activities, resulting in the group failing to promote as a 10-member group since their launch.

n.CH Entertainment’s supporters also highlighted the mistreatment of the group, raising concerns about the true situation of its members under their label.

At that moment, Eddie, a member of the group, finally lost his temper and subtly alluded to the difficult situation they were facing, garnering attention with his statement:

“I can’t take this anymore.”

It seemed as though he had finally reached his breaking point after being silenced for an extended period of time, prompting him to continue:

“I’m done. You guys deserve (to know) the truth. I’m taking my own health into consideration from now on. Whatever happens from now, I hope you all understand that this has been long awaited. I’ve been silent and patient.”

Despite the public image and portrayal promoted by the company, Eddie made it clear that n.SSign was not a true team and did not have a familial dynamic.

Eddie demonstrated a sense of losing faith in his fellow team members and remarked:

I’ve had it with them. I’m sorry to tell you this way, but I’m done.”

In addition, he indirectly expressed his dissatisfaction with his record label before ultimately stating:

“This place, and the people. None of this is genuine.”

Despite the issue initially gaining attention from the n.SSign fandom, K-pop fans outside of the fandom, such as Cosmos, also showed their support for Eddie. They urged larger fandoms to bring awareness to this matter and reach a wider audience.

Upon learning about the male idol’s struggles, Cosmos empathized with them and recognized that they had been overworked since their pre-debut days. This resulted in the members frequently going on hiatus due to health problems.

Despite Eddie mentioning this a few times, the strict contract he is bound by leaves him with no option but to continue with his schedule without taking any breaks.

“I’m tired, mentally and physically. This has been so hard. I don’t know what to do.”

He has previously hinted that the group has a strained relationship, stating that despite living with 9 other co-members, he has no one to confide in.

At present, the messages have been deleted and n.CH Entertainment has not yet addressed the issue.
