Under the guidance of Kim Sung Eun, a highly acclaimed vocal coach who has worked with popular idols such as BTS and TWICE, the group swiftly gained a loyal following.

Nevertheless, fans were taken by surprise on June 27, KST, when Dear. U Bubble messenger announced a temporary suspension of LUMINOUS’s services.

The group’s sudden notice, effective from July 19 onwards, caused shock and uncertainty among supporters as it prohibited the purchase of new tickets and raised concerns about the group’s future.

Woobin, a prominent member of LMX, exacerbated the discomfort by sharing messages that were seen by many as indications of the group’s potential dissolution.

Upon receiving the service suspension notice, Woobin expressed his own shock at the announcement, stating that the members had not been given any prior notice.

These are reminiscent of comparable situations in other groups that ultimately resulted in disbandments.

Just before the official suspension date, Woobin sent a follow-up message expressing his gratitude to fans. He described the experience as a “beautiful chapter of youth”and hinted at closure.

I want to reassure you and pretend everything’s okay, but all I can say is: remember, no matter how tough or unpleasant the memories, thanks to you, Y/N, a beautiful chapter of youth has been completed. I fear it would be sad if Y/N were to forget us.

LMX’s most recent return was in 2022, and they were scheduled to take the stage at the rescheduled AriaFest using their group name.

Despite their continued activities, the abrupt suspension announcement and Woobin’s mysterious messages have caused supporters to wonder if this could spell the end for LUMINOUS as a group.

As SE Group Entertainment has yet to release any official statements about LMX’s future, fans are still left in uncertainty and the weight of the group’s uncertain fate continues to burden their devoted followers.
