Characters Who Shine in My Hero Academia Season 7
Katsuki Bakugo
Undoubtedly, the character who will steal the spotlight in season 7 of My Hero Academia is Katsuki Bakugo. He will be the main focus in the first half of the season’s events, while other characters of equal importance will take center stage in the latter half. Bakugo’s actions will surely shock both casual viewers and his devoted fanbase.
One of the most captivating aspects of Bakugo’s role in season 7 is the evident development he has undergone as both a fighter and an individual. This is particularly impressive as it is highlighted through the way others speak about and to him, showcasing the level of respect he has earned as a person and Pro Hero.
Shoto Todoroki
Similarly, Shoto Todoroki, the tritagonist of the series, receives a comparable treatment to Bakugo, the deuteragonist. However, while Bakugo’s “shining moments”will primarily highlight his character development and the overarching narrative, Todoroki’s will also heavily revolve around his personal journey. This can be attributed to his significant role in season 7 of My Hero Academia, where he confronts his brother Dabi, also known as Toya Todoroki, in a climactic battle.
Despite this, Shoto’s focus also highlights his growth as a fighter, displaying his remarkable endurance and strategic thinking. His control over his Quirk is also heavily emphasized, revealing his ability to achieve feats that were once deemed impossible by both himself and his father, Endeavor.
3) Japanese Volleyball Player
Despite not having a prominent role in the previous seasons, Shoji’s fan-favorite character design has captured the hearts of viewers. Finally, in season 7 of My Hero Academia, Shoji will shine in a poignant and emotional manner. Although his backstory is not revealed, the circumstances in which he takes the spotlight will surely evoke tears from fans.
Despite this, viewers can anticipate Shoji demonstrating his incredible strength in a fight and effectively protecting both himself and his allies while facing a suitable opponent in terms of the story. This particular scene is also filled with intense action, indicating that animation studio BONES will undoubtedly make the most of this pivotal moment.
Neito Monoma
Neito Monoma stands out on this list as his spotlight in season 7 of My Hero Academia does not involve any flashy or emotional moments. His role in the upcoming battle is to replicate Shota Aizawa’s Quirk and prevent Tomura Shigaraki from using his own Quirks while others fight him.
The series deserves recognition for highlighting and emphasizing Monoma’s actions, revealing them to be a challenging but crucial aspect of the Heroes’ plan. Despite his supportive role, Monoma’s contributions are undeniably significant throughout season 7 of My Hero Academia.
Ochaco Uraraka
Despite this, Uraraka’s spotlight in My Hero Academia season 7 will primarily revolve around the emotional conclusions of both her and Himiko Toga’s character arcs. While there will certainly be some action for fans to enjoy, the main payoff of this focus is in the emotional aspect.
During this focus, fans can also look forward to the long-awaited reveal of Toga’s backstory and the further exploration of Uraraka’s origins, motivations, and values. This satisfying conclusion to their character arcs also includes Uraraka’s development through her relationship with Izuku “Deku”Midoriya, but the fight with Toga serves as the main narrative conclusion for her.
Lack of Action in My Hero Academia Season 7
1) Izuku “Deku” Midoriya
Unfortunately, Deku will be absent for most of the events in season 7 of My Hero Academia. In the early episodes, fans can expect to see him as a main focus, but he will only make brief appearances in one or two episodes in the middle. These appearances will likely not hold much significance, and will simply serve as a quick update for fans who are eager to see their beloved protagonist.
2) Hero Name: All Might
Similarly, in My Hero Academia season 7, All Might, Deku’s mentor, has a minimal role, only offering some heartfelt words to Shoto Todoroki and others. While the season sets him up for future success, his Quirk was lost in previous seasons, leaving him with little to do in the meantime.
Momo Yayorozu
Despite being a fan-favorite character, Momo Yaoyorozu’s lack of involvement in season 7 of My Hero Academia is inexcusable. She will have minimal screen time and will primarily serve as a support character behind the scenes.
Although it does make sense given her Quirk, it is still somewhat frustrating to see her forced off the front lines. Fortunately, she will still make an appearance. However, the fact that Momo has not been given any significant focus or development beyond her final exam with Shoto from earlier seasons adds to this frustration.
Tenya Ida
Despite being a prominent figure in the early parts of the series, Tenya Iida is often sidelined in My Hero Academia season 7. Although he plays a part in Shoto’s story, his role is mainly supportive and lacks significant impact.
Despite this being more understandable for him compared to characters like Momo, it is still disappointing to see a war arc where not all characters receive equal attention. While situations like Iida’s may be understandable, others like Momo’s are particularly concerning.
Hawks
Fortunately, Hawks is a character who truly deserves such treatment and has the means to afford it, considering his previous prominence in the series. He will play a supportive role for Endeavor, who will primarily be engaged in a battle against All For One this season. While Hawks will have some impressive moments as a result, he will not be the main focus in this fight, as Endeavor rightfully takes the lead as the successor to the No. 1 Pro Hero position.
Similarly, Hawks is faced with the challenge of fully embracing and fulfilling his No. 2 role, even while dealing with injuries to his Quirk. Additionally, he is determined to provide the best support possible for his personal hero. While his support role may lead to some impressive combat, it is not the main focus of My Hero Academia season 7.
