Fortunately, none of the activities require cardiovascular exercise or mastering a proper spike technique.
The Rivalry Between The Schools in The Dumpster Battle Has Never Been Fiercer
The Haikyuu!! movie portrays a match that has never taken place in a professional competition. Due to the structure of tournaments, chances for them to face each other on opposing teams have been scarce, and chance has always intervened to prevent a proper showdown. However, this changes with the release of the movie.
The focus is on the team, with Shoyo Hinata as the main character
Shoyo Hinata’s unwavering dedication as a shorter player has been the driving force behind our current position. However, with Karasuno High School making it to the national competition, the focus has shifted to the entire team’s performance.
Similarly to Shoyo, each member of their team has put in their fair share of time and effort, as recognized in Haikyuu!! The Dumpster Battle. Tobio Kageyama, who was previously highlighted as Shoyo’s rival and close friend, is given even more attention in the movie, along with the rest of their team.
The Dumpster Battle comes from the team names
Both Karasuno High, also referred to as the Crows, and Nekoma High School, known as the Wildcats, are well-known for their competitive spirits. As a result, their upcoming match has earned the nickname “Dumpster Battle”due to the fierce rivalry between crows and cats.
The anticipated showdown between both teams has been long-awaited, and their excitement was palpable when the draw was announced. This also presented the perfect chance for a feature-length event.
Spring Nationals
The Dumpster Battle takes place during the Spring Tournament, which is considered the most prominent high school volleyball competition of the year. The Haikyuu!! anime chronicles Karasuno’s journey to the knockout stage, marking their most successful campaign in years since the school’s previous victory before the start of the series.
This isn’t the last Haikyuu!! movie
Without giving too much away, Haikyuu!! The Dumpster Battle is just the beginning of the finale. Neither Karasuno nor Nekoma make it to the finals, and the victor will advance to the next round. Whoever emerges triumphant, rest assured that another thrilling film is on the horizon.
Remember, you still have four seasons of the anime to catch up on before the sequel is released. Hiaikyuu!! The Dumpster Battle will be showing in theaters on Friday, May 31, 2024.
