While My Hero Academia’s ending primarily centered around Deku, it’s possible that you may have overlooked some interesting details about your other beloved characters.
After a decade since our initial encounter with Deku and his aspiring heroes, bidding farewell to them has been a deeply sentimental experience. Chapter 430 marks the end of their cherished journey, revealing the fate of our protagonist in the years to come.
After an eight-year time gap, the finale depicts Deku as a teacher at U.A. Academy, with the rest of Class 1-A now working as Pro Heroes. However, readers need not worry, as by the end of the chapter, the previous wielder of One For All once again dons his yellow cape, this time accompanied by advanced support equipment.
In addition to Deku, there are also glimpses of other characters’ futures. While some, such as his classmates and Dai, are easily noticeable, a few are overshadowed. However, we are here to bring attention to five intriguing character endings in the finale that may have been overlooked.
The Kid from Chapter 425 Goes to U.A.
Do you recall the enigmatic individual from Chapter 425? When he was first introduced, there were numerous speculations about who he could be. Some speculated that he was a reincarnation of Shigaraki, while others even suggested that he was Deku’s father (although that idea seemed far-fetched!).
It wasn’t until Chapter 429 that the identity of the individual was revealed. They were not a villain, but rather an innocent child who had suffered inhumane abuse from their family. As with everything in My Hero Academia, their story concluded on a positive note with the assistance of the old lady from Tenko’s childhood.
In the conclusion, it is revealed just how crucial her assistance was. Despite Tenko’s descent into darkness after being rejected by society, this young student was able to start a fresh chapter in life. Chapter 430 depicts their journey as a student at U.A., striving to become a Hero.
Gentle Criminal and La Brava: The Marriage Saga
While My Hero Academia did not place much emphasis on romantic storylines, this decision proved to be beneficial. Although the official status of Deku and Ochako’s relationship is left ambiguous, we do witness another couple’s happily ever after.
Despite initially being portrayed as villains, Gentle Criminal and La Brava’s characters evolved as we came to understand and empathize with them. Despite their past crimes, it became clear that they were not truly evil as they shared a deep love for each other. This was evident when they joined in the final battle against All For One during the Final War.
It is truly heartwarming to witness their integration into society. In Chapter 430, they are depicted as the owners of a successful cyber security company, Ge L. Inc. If one pays close attention, they may also notice the wedding rings adorning their fingers.
Eri chose not to become a Hero
The Shie Hassaikai Arc in My Hero Academia is known for its heart-wrenching narrative. It depicted the relentless torture of Eri by Overhaul in order to manipulate her exceptional Quirk, until she was ultimately rescued by Mirio, Deku, and the team of Pro Heroes.
Despite many fans believing that she would aspire to become a Hero like her saviors, Aizawa revealed during the Final War that Eri had a new dream. Enchanted by the music that brought a smile to her face for the first time, she now aspired to become a musician.
Despite Kota, another child Deku saved, choosing to attend U.A. and pursue his dream of becoming a Hero, Eri remains steadfast in her decision to lead a civilian life. Currently, she attends a regular high school and is an active member of the school’s music club.
Mt. Lady and Kamui Woods are top heroes
In the narrative, Mt. Lady and Kamui Woods are portrayed as emerging Heroes. Although the former may exploit her fame and position to receive complimentary items, the latter is portrayed as more dedicated and focused.
Although they may be a little quirky (pun not intended), both individuals are exceptional Heroes and never back down from a challenge. Their hard work has evidently paid off, as it is revealed in the conclusion of My Hero Academia that they have both risen to the top ranks as heroes. It appears that they now hold the titles of No. 2 and No. 3 Heroes, respectively.
Despite being younger than Mt. Lady and Kamui Woods, a newcomer named Mirio has risen to the top spot in the hero game. Deku informs us of this, also mentioning that the protagonist Shoto may soon surpass them as well. This serves as motivation for them to continue working hard.
Melissa Shield made Deku’s armor
Despite trying to be honest, the initial portion of My Hero Academia’s conclusion is incredibly disheartening. Having followed Deku’s ascent to the pinnacle for a significant amount of time, it is devastating to witness him relinquish One For All and live a regular civilian life while his companions have all accomplished their goals.
However, the essence of My Hero Academia would not be complete without ending on a positive and uplifting tone. In the latter part of Chapter 430, All Might gifts Deku with state-of-the-art armor and support gear, a result of his battle against All For One in the Final War.
All Might discloses that Mei Hatsume and his “friend from overseas”collaborated to create his hero suit. For those who have not made the connection, he is referring to Melissa Shield, the young girl from the initial My Hero Academia film. She has since become an inventor, and like her father aided All Might, she is now assisting his successor, carrying on the tradition.
