5 My Hero Academia Class 1-A students who may die fighting All For One (& 5 who likely won’t)

Throughout the series, Class 1-A of My Hero Academia has made remarkable progress. From barely passing the entrance exam to battling against All For One in the final war, each member has shown tremendous growth. While there may be discussions about which student has developed the most, one thing is certain: they are all much more skilled in The Final War arc compared to when they first began.

In chapter 420 of My Hero Academia, All For One’s final plan was executed as the sliver of himself within Tomura Shigaraki exploited Tenko’s vulnerable mental state and took over his body. However, all is not lost as Deku receives help from Aizawa, the remaining members of Class 1-A, and a multitude of heroes.

Despite All For One’s weakened state within Tomura’s beaten body, it is expected to be a challenging fight. Numerous individuals are already injured, and it is possible that many will lose their lives in the attempt to defeat this villain.

5 Students of Class 1-A in My Hero Academia Who May Not Survive Fighting All For One

Minoru Mineta

Despite being a student in Class 1-A of My Hero Academia, Minoru Mineta is often regarded as one of the least popular. With his overbearing perverted tendencies and lack of character development, it is likely that he will meet his demise in the finale without much mourning from the audience.

Despite this, Mineta has already faced All For One in chapter 385 during the attack led by Gigantomachia. He successfully prevented All For One from taking Fumikage’s Dark Shadow and, although he appeared to be more comically injured than the others, Mineta may still have a chance to shine and prove himself before potentially meeting his end.

Mashirao Ojiro

Despite the widespread negative press surrounding Mineta, Ojiro in My Hero Academia is largely a background character. However, Tailman, a hero who utilizes martial arts and his tail in battle, is a skilled fighter.

Although they haven’t been prominently featured during the final war arc, Ojiro, Sero, and Sato managed to land successful hits on All For One when they came to Deku’s rescue in chapter 420. Considering their limited appearances, it is reasonable that they were given the opportunity to contribute in this crucial battle. Additionally, given Ojiro’s specialization in close-range combat, it is likely that he may not survive the confrontation.

3) Rikido Sato

Despite not receiving much attention throughout the series, the Sugar Rush Hero in My Hero Academia, Sato, proved to be an integral part of the final war. This showcases that every character, no matter how seemingly insignificant, has a crucial role to play. It was a pleasant surprise to see Sato, along with Sero and Ojiro, come to Deku’s aid during the battle.

Despite Sato’s close-range fighting style and lack of character development, the upcoming battle may not bode well for him. His Quirk relies on consuming 10 grams of sugar for three minutes of power, and he has been fighting in the stadium all day. These factors pose significant challenges for Sato in his fight against All For One, even with the advantage of being in Tomura’s battered body.

Hanta Sero

The hero who utilizes tape has continuously demonstrated his proficiency with his unique tape quirk, strategically using it to set up combination attacks or ensnare villains. From toppling boulders to immobilizing enemies, Sero’s quirk has been an invaluable aid to his allies. However, due to his classification as a support hero, he may struggle against formidable opponents such as Nine in Heroes Rising.

Despite his heroic actions in stopping All for One from killing Deku, Sero has yet to truly shine in the spotlight, especially when compared to some of his other classmates in Class 1-A during the Final War arc. While maintaining a safe distance may have saved him from death, it is not a guaranteed strategy for future battles.

Koji Koda

Despite Koji’s recent Quirk evolution, it may come as a surprise to some that his usual role is that of a scout. His Quirk, Anivoice, grants him the ability to communicate with and control animals, making it a formidable power. During the final war arc of My Hero Academia, he utilized this Quirk to summon thousands of birds, showcasing the extent of his abilities.

Despite his quirk being useful for scouting and creating distractions, Koda lacks proficiency in hand-to-hand combat. While he may be able to surprise All For One and have a moment of success, similar to when he stopped the Meta Liberation Army’s speaker during the hospital raid, he will likely meet his downfall in the process.

5 My Hero Academia Class 1-A students with a high survival rate

Momo Yaoyorozu

Momo, the workhorse of Class 1-A and an infinite creation hero, has proven herself to be a formidable force in battle, persevering through numerous close calls and challenges. Throughout the war, Momo has played a crucial role in keeping supplies flowing, working alongside fellow heroes such as Mei Hatsume and Cementoss to ensure that people have access to hydration and replenishment.

Despite the overwhelming threat of the Twice Doubles, Momo utilized her intelligence to create a variety of weapons to hold off the onslaught of bodies. She has proven her ability to fight and stall even formidable foes, like Gigantomachia during the Paranormal Liberation War. Her skills in maneuvering open and confined spaces make her incredibly adaptable. As long as she remains sharp and composed, there is a strong possibility that she will withstand All for One’s attack and survive.

Eijiro Kirishima

Despite facing numerous challenges, Red Riot from My Hero Academia continues to captivate viewers with his hot-headed nature. His Unbreakable Quirk has proven to be truly unbreakable, surviving attacks from blades, Quirk destroying bullets, Dabi’s flames, direct hits from Gigantomachia, and even direct assaults from All For One.

During the ultimate battle in My Hero Academia, Kirishima was included in the group assigned to capture and manipulate Gigantomachia. Although he was initially rescued by Mina from the Sludge Villain, his quirk proved to be crucial in defending Hitoshi Shinso and blocking some of All for One’s attacks. In chapter 385, he was shown injured from All for One’s counterattack, but his death has not been officially confirmed.

Kyoka Jiro

The hero with sound-based powers has been extremely occupied throughout the Final War and, unlike Fumikage and other heroes such as Mina and Shoto, she remains standing and ready to continue fighting. Her ultimate attack proved to be crucial in disabling All For One’s life support in chapter 355, despite sustaining damage to her left earphone jack.

Despite her recent rescue from the massive Sad Man Legion by Kamui Woods, Jiro may still be able to assist in long-range action now that Himiko Toga has been taken care of. Despite the missing left earphone jack, which proved to be a handicap in her close encounter with All for One, Jiro has proven to be effective in long-range situations.

Character Profile: Tsuyu Asui

Despite facing many trials and challenges like her classmates in Class 1-A, Tsuyu Asui rarely sustains serious injuries. She is always ready to offer support and come to the aid of her friends, such as pulling Mineta and Deku out of danger during the USJ incident and backing up Ochaco when she was threatened by Toga.

Despite not possessing immense strength, Tsu’s composed mentality and ability to cooperate with others have proven to be more valuable. Her survival against Toga’s Sad Man Legion, Toga at close range, Near-High End Nomu, and other formidable opponents such as Gigantomachia can be attributed to her agility, composure, and willingness to aid her allies, making her highly likely to also prevail against All for One.

5) Mezo Shoji

Despite facing a formidable opponent in the form of Spinner from My Hero Academia chapters 372–406, Tentacole fought bravely and sustained injuries, nearly losing consciousness. However, as of chapter 420, he is still standing. Despite not having much screen time prior to the Final War arc, Shoji has proven himself to be a skilled fighter among his peers.

Despite being categorized as a close-range fighter, his ability to hold his own against Spinner and his entire heteromorph army suggests that he has a strong chance of surviving a battle against All for One. Additionally, his healing factor on his appendages, which he utilizes in combat, gives him an advantage.

It is important for readers to be aware that this list does not encompass all names, such as Kaminari, who may fall in a gray area due to their involvement in charging the electrical barrier for the U.A. Flying Fortress, or individuals who have been removed from the battlefield like Ochaco or rendered unconscious like Fumikage. The focus of this list is on active Class 1-A students who are able to participate in combat, therefore any individuals who are currently incapacitated, too injured to fight, or have been removed from the battlefield as of Chapter 420 should not be considered.

Despite being a non-exhaustive list, it’s worth noting that there are other Class 1-A students like Toru Hagakure, also known as Invisible Girl, or Yugo Aoyama, also known as Can’t Stop Twinkling, who are currently not involved in the ongoing battle. As of now, no major Class 1-A students from My Hero Academia have died in the final battle, but that could change sooner than fans anticipate.

It is important for readers to keep in mind that these are all mere speculations, as plot twists are common in stories. The upcoming Chapter 421 is expected to provide answers to this question and others, as the final battle approaches.
