5 new K-dramas to watch in February 2024

The year 2024 has only just begun, but some great successes have been received by viewers of Korean series. After January’s K-dramas, we present to you what’s coming for February.

February will be another big month for K-dramas as new storylines are set to launch – ranging from the hunt for a killer to an arranged marriage to one of the most expensive series to produce. So here are five new K-dramas to watch in February.

2024 has already started well, between Marry My Husband and the end of My Demon on Netflix. It is now February’s turn to offer its catalog. And even though it’s the month of love, you don’t have to be a fan of romance to find happiness.

Branding in Seongsu Dong

Release date: February 5, 2024

All of Us Are Dead star Park Solomon stars alongside Kim Ji-eun in the February 2024 K-drama, Branding in Seongsu Dong. So Eun-ho (Park) is the oldest intern at a marketing company, and is known for his vibrant youth. He has so far lived his life enjoying his freedom, but eventually entered the world of work: he therefore begins to play the role of dedicated intern.

Unfortunately, he finds himself in conflict with his boss, the opposite of his epicurean values. Kang Na-eon (Kim) is the oldest but also the most successful marketing team leader to date. She is a living legend for her ability to take on challenges and prevail every time. But to reach the top, she is willing to sacrifice her friendships and even love.

Her life changes when she comes into conflict with her fellow intern. The problem? A kiss makes them swap bodies. Can two people with very different personalities cope in such a situation? Branding in Seongsu Dong will consist of 24 episodes.

A Killer Paradox

Release date: February 9, 2024

One of the most anticipated K-dramas on Netflix in February 2024 is A Killer Paradox. Lee Tang (Choi Woo-shik) is an ordinary man who is nothing really special. He’s the kind of person who prefers to neglect himself… until one day everything changes.

One evening, he is attacked by a man, whom he kills while defending himself. Upset by his act, he is overcome by guilt and is ready to surrender. Until he learned that the man in question was actually a serial killer. He then discovers a new side of himself, and decides to play vigilante, to hunt down the people he judges to be the most evil and put an end to their lives. Is he a heaven-sent hero, or just a ruthless murderer?

As he convinces himself to act for the good of society, he finds himself stalked by a police inspector, Jang Nan-gam (Son Suk-ku). A Killer Paradox then begins a psychological chase, a game of cat and mouse, while Nan-gam suspects Lee Tang for the recent assassinations. The K-drama adapts an original webtoon and will have a total of eight episodes.

Wedding Impossible

Release date: February 26, 2024

A good actress was never highlighted and only worked as a supporting character. But what happens when she gets the role of a lifetime? Wedding Impossible follows Na A-jeong (Jun Jong-seo) who has more experience playing a married woman on camera than in real life. Lee Do-han (Kim Do-wan) has been his friend for 15 years and the chaebol heir to his family’s company.

Constantly pressured to get married, Do-han asks A-jeong for a favor. She has to pretend to be his wife, to keep his family away. Wedding Impossible doesn’t follow the typical pattern of friends becoming lovers, because Do-han has a secret. He is gay and doesn’t want his family to find out.

They therefore embark on an arranged marriage which thwarts Lee Ji-han’s (Moon Sang-min) plans. Because Do-han’s younger brother had meticulously planned his rise to take control of the company. He vows to stop the marriage and the relationship at all costs.

The Forbidden Heir

Release date: February 28, 2024

Released by Disney+, the Korean series The Forbidden Heir has been on fans’ radar for months since its main cast announcement. The K-drama has received shock and admiration for its costly investment. The story focuses on Kang In-ha (Lee Jun-young) who has lived in poverty all her life. He leaves everything behind when he learns that he is in fact a chaebol heir, as the illegitimate son of the CEO of a conglomerate.

But his transition from rags to riches does not go smoothly, as he is rejected and hated by his new family. Spectators will therefore see how the hero recovers what is due to him, to climb to the top of the food chain. In-ha seeks help from her childhood friend Han Tae-oh (Lee Jae-wook), the son of an assassin. Together, they will develop a plan to take control of the company.

Pyramid Game

Release date: February 29, 2024

“Pyramid Game, release confirmed for February 29, I can’t wait”

Popularity becomes deadly in Pyramid Game. The February K-drama follows Sung Soo-ji (Bona) as she transfers to a new school and class. His new class, 2nd year class 5, seems okay and peaceful, but it’s actually a facade hiding something much worse.

She learns that in reality the students are participating in a vote nicknamed Pyramid Game. Only his class does this and everyone gets votes based on their popularity. The problem? The person with the fewest votes receives an F and becomes a victim of bullying and school violence.

Soo-ji then becomes the next target, but will not give in: her goal is to put an end to the harassment and dismantle this harmful game.
