As the top-rated convenience store in the US, 7-Eleven has become synonymous with their famous hot dog weenies. However, in a major shift, the company is now introducing international flavors to their menus.
Despite not being widely known, 7-Eleven is, in fact, a company owned by Japan. In 2005, Ryuichi Isaka, the CEO of Seven & I Holdings, took full control of the brand and proceeded to establish numerous branches in his native country.
Konbini, the Japanese convenience stores, prioritize food and offer a wide range of options including egg sandwiches and rice cakes.

According to a spokesperson for the chain, it appears that we may soon see some of these highly coveted menu items coming to the US.

These items can be found in specific 7-Eleven, Speedway, and Stripes stores all over the nation.
“We recognize the importance of transitioning our business model away from a dependence on gasoline and cigarettes, and towards one that prioritizes our products. The crucial factor in this transformation is the incorporation of fresh food.”
Despite the fact that 7-Eleven is owned by a Japanese company, there is another surprising detail about the company’s logo that a customer recently discovered, adding to its already interesting background.
