7 Jujutsu Kaisen fighters that the current Yuji can defeat, despite being unable to before

Despite his numerous defeats, Yuji Itadori stands out among the Jujutsu Kaisen characters for having more losses than wins. Although his initial losses could be explained by his limited experience and understanding of Cursed Energy, the latest chapters have showcased his remarkable growth.

Chapter 263 of Jujutsu Kaisen has further cemented Yuji’s position as one of the rare high-level sorcerers who have successfully mastered a Domain Expansion. Although the specifics and abilities of his domain expansion remain undisclosed, it is evident that the current Yuji Itadori is significantly more powerful than his earlier versions.

Yuji Itadori’s newly acquired abilities in blood manipulation, simple domain, dismantle, and potentially cleave have sparked curiosity among fans about which Jujutsu Kaisen characters he can now defeat.

Please be aware that the following article contains significant spoilers for the Jujutsu Kaisen series.

Jujutsu Kaisen Characters Defeated by Current Yuji

1) Finger Bearer

In the early stages of the story, the Finger Bearer stood out as both one of the initial and most powerful cursed spirits to be introduced. It was the first curse that Megumi, Nobara, and Yuji had encountered, and proved to be their greatest challenge thus far. Additionally, it was during this encounter that Yuji first relinquished control to Sukuna.

Knowing that the current Yuji possesses the ability to use reverse cursed technique and is highly proficient in combat, as well as having the power to physically harm enemies with his piercing blood and neutralize their techniques, it is clear that the Finger Bearers will be the least challenging opponents Yuji has ever encountered.

Choso

Despite being established as Yuji’s “big brother”and one of the few genuine relationships he has left, Choso remained one of his most formidable enemies during the Shibuya Incident arc.

Despite appearing to be evenly matched, it was eventually discovered that Yuji was no match for Choso in their fight. However, with the current Yuji possessing the same abilities as Choso, as well as a domain expansion, superior battle IQ, and greater destructive power, he would emerge victorious in a battle against Choso.

Mahito’s Life

Until the conclusion of the Shibuya Incident arc, Mahito served as the primary antagonist and repeatedly antagonized Yuji. Throughout the arc, Yuji’s focus shifted towards defeating Mahito by any means necessary, ultimately requiring Todo’s aid to stand a chance against him.

The present Yuji, armed with the ability to use dismantling techniques that can directly harm Mahito’s soul and a stronger, more resolute mindset, would emerge victorious in any situation against Mahito.

Nanami

Throughout the majority of the Jujutsu Kaisen story, Kento Nanami acted as Yuji’s mentor. Despite being a highly-ranked Grade A sorcerer, Nanami’s displays of extraordinary strength, speed, stamina, and determination during the Shibuya Incident arc and his previous battle against Mahito were truly remarkable.

The current Yuji has surpassed Nanami in every way. Prior to the soul swap training and learning to utilize binding vows, Yuji would have been defeated by Nanami due to Nanami’s superior intellect and experience. However, the current Yuji can rely on his domain expansion alone to defeat Nanami.

5) Flower Viewing Tradition in Japan

Hanami, one of the Disaster Curses, played the role of an antagonist in the beginning of the story. While Hanami’s battle against Yuji and Todo showed that they were able to somewhat trap him, Yuji would not have been able to do it on his own.

Despite demonstrating impressive durability by emerging relatively unharmed from battles against numerous Tokyo and Kyoto students, Hanami is no match for the current Yuji. With his ability to target souls directly through his attacks, superior battle IQ, and higher destructive capabilities, Yuji can easily counter Hanami’s techniques using simple domains or domain expansions.

In an unfavorable situation where Hanami surpasses Yuji in both cursed energy output and power, Yuji can utilize black flashes to continuously attack her and take advantage of its exponential strengthening ability in order to match her level.

Naoya Zenin and Cursed Spirit Naoya

Despite possessing projection sorcery and a heightened speed, Naoya Zenin is generally disliked among Jujutsu Kaisen characters. While these abilities may seem formidable on paper, they would have little effect on Yuji due to his superhuman durability and the addition of reverse cursed technique.

Even in a battle against cursed spirit Naoya, Yuji’s mastery of reverse cursed technique and strength in domain battles would prevent Naoya from inflicting any significant harm and ultimately secure a victory for Yuji.

7) To-Do List

During the Kyoto Goodwill Event arc, Todo and Yuji crossed paths for the first time. Since then, they have become known as one of the most formidable duos in Jujutsu Kaisen. Their unmatched collaboration and Todo’s impressive IQ of 530,000 allow them to dominate their opponents in battle.

Despite this, a battle between Yuji and Todo would be highly unpredictable within the series. Todo’s technique may seem simple, yet it is also incredibly potent, largely due to his skillful utilization of it. Yuji’s possession of a reverse cursed technique and extraordinary durability would make it difficult for Todo to inflict significant harm upon him.

Despite Yuji’s determination, confronting Todo directly would prove to be a challenge due to Todo’s formidable Boogie Woogie technique, allowing him to teleport an impressive 50 times per second. The outcome of the match would most likely be determined by a test of stamina, with Yuji ultimately utilizing his domain expansion to defeat Todo once his ability to use Boogie Woogie is exhausted.

The information regarding Yuji’s domain and its internal mechanisms and details will be disclosed in the upcoming chapter 264 of Jujutsu Kaisen. Chapter 263 is set to be published on July 28 and can be read on Shueisha’s MANGA Plus platform.
