Despite the challenges, numerous K-pop artists are expanding their horizons by venturing into the world of K-dramas, demonstrating their multifaceted abilities beyond just music. Although there have been many accomplished actors in the field, breaking into the acting world is no easy feat.
Nevertheless, a few idols manage to do it successfully!
BLACKPINK Jisoo
Jisoo’s acting career began in 2015, prior to her debut with BLACKPINK. She had a cameo appearance in the drama “The Producers”and later in 2021, she earned her first leading role in the JTBC series “Snowdrop.”
Jisoo is currently working on two acting projects, namely the film “Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint”and the drama “Influenza.”

Despite having only appeared in one drama, V’s performance has garnered him a large fan following and fans are eagerly anticipating more opportunities for him to showcase his talent in future roles.
The member of BTS made his first appearance as an actor in the KBS2 historical series “Hwawrang: The Poet Warrior Youth.”

Similarly, just like Yoona, Seohyun from Girls’ Generation has also found success in her acting career. In 2008, she started her acting journey with a cameo appearance in “Unstoppable Marriage”.
Ever since, the idol has continuously starred in numerous dramas and films. Among her remarkable projects are “Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo,””Jinxed at First,”and “Love and Leashes.”
7. Red Velvet Joy
Joy, the visual vitamin of Red Velvet, is a successful actress in addition to being a K-pop idol. She made her acting debut in 2017 with a lead role in “The Liar and His Lover,”and continued to showcase her talent in 2018 with her role in “Tempted.”
