Despite being a side character in the Jujutsu Kaisen manga, Satoru Gojo has undeniably become the most beloved and well-known character in the series. His popularity among fans is evident, as his death had a significant impact on manga sales and was deeply mourned by fans both within the community and in real life.

Gojo’s boisterous and eccentric personality has caused numerous characters, including members of the jujutsu society, to dislike him. By assessing a character’s level of acceptance towards Gojo, it is possible to compile a list of Jujutsu Kaisen characters who hold animosity towards Satoru Gojo.

Please be aware that this article contains spoilers for the Jujutsu Kaisen series.

Utahime

Despite being Utahime’s senior during their high school years, Gojo’s constant teasing and light-hearted jabs have led to a history of animosity between the two.

Despite still seeing Gojo as a kind sorcerer whom she is willing to assist in times of trouble, Utahime remains unable to tolerate his company. This is due to Gojo’s constant teasing, which he cannot seem to control. In comparison to other characters in Jujutsu Kaisen, Utahime holds a relatively mild dislike towards Gojo.

2) Gakuganji

Despite appearances, Gakuganji’s animosity towards Gojo is not a direct attack on him. Rather, it stems from Gakuganji’s disapproval of Gojo’s impulsive and reckless behavior. Gojo’s approach to situations goes against Gakuganji’s own belief in strictly adhering to rules.

This amplification is further intensified by Gojo’s direct antagonism towards him. However, it is important to note that this animosity is not rooted in personal reasons, as evidenced by Gakuganji’s assistance to Gojo in the beginning of the Gojo vs Sukuna arc.

Yaga: An Enchanting Folklore Witch

Yaga has been a constant presence in Gojo’s life since his days as a student. Even during his student days, Gojo’s brash nature caused him to be difficult to handle, a trait that has continued into his adult life. Yaga’s personal aversion towards Gojo is like a persistent ache that has plagued him for decades. Despite this strong dislike, it is clear that Yaga would still offer assistance to Gojo in times of need.

Miguel

Despite being beaten by Gojo during the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons arc, Miguel eventually reconciled with him and was subsequently recruited by Gojo to train Yuta.

Despite making an effort to change, Miguel continues to harbor animosity and resentment towards Gojo. This was evident when he declined to meet with Gojo, who had visited Yuta during his training.

5) Japanese Folklore: Sukuna

Despite holding a strong hatred for Gojo due to their shared title of “The Strongest,”Sukuna still possesses a deep and unadulterated respect for him that surpasses that of any other character in Jujutsu Kaisen. Sukuna’s sentiments towards Gojo are primarily driven by their mutual competitiveness, as Gojo stands as the only sorcerer capable of truly challenging him.

Sukuna’s animosity towards Gojo carries a deeply malicious undertone, as they are two beings that cannot coexist simultaneously. This is because only one person can hold the title of “The Strongest.”

Uraume

Uraume’s loyalty lies with Sukuna, and throughout their story, they have consistently shown their devotion to him. Uraume’s animosity towards Gojo stems from his inability to match Sukuna’s power, as well as Gojo’s disrespect towards Sukuna and the injury inflicted upon Uraume when they attempted to confront him. Despite the possibility of Sukuna eventually forgiving Gojo and developing a level of admiration for him, Uraume will never share the same sentiment.

Jogo

Jogo stands out as one of the rare cursed spirits who boldly challenged Satoru Gojo, fully confident in their abilities. Jogo’s animosity towards Gojo stems from the latter’s position as the ultimate threat to cursed spirits, and is only intensified by Jogo’s repeated and humiliating losses to Gojo throughout the events of the story.

My Kenja

Despite Kenjaku’s reputation as a highly strategic and cunning individual with intricate plans, the unpredictability of Gojo poses a constant threat to his schemes. No matter how carefully Kenjaku plans, Gojo has the ability to disrupt everything in a matter of moments.

During Gojo’s sealing, he successfully immobilizes the Prison Realm. This is reinforced when he breaks free from his seal and battles through a horde of cursed spirits summoned by Kenjaku to stop him from reaching him at the bottom of the ocean. Among all the characters in Jujutsu Kaisen, Kenjaku’s animosity towards Gojo is one of the strongest.

Nanami

Despite being one of the few true friends Gojo has left after the loss of Suguru Geto, Kento Nanami holds intense animosity towards him. While Nanami admits to trusting Gojo, he also acknowledges that he can never truly respect him as a person.

Although Gojo’s personality is loud, annoying, and rather irritating, it does not mesh well with Nanami’s cool and collected demeanor. In fact, Gojo’s efforts to purposely provoke Nanami only serve to amplify this incompatibility.

Among all characters in Jujutsu Kaisen, Nanami’s animosity towards Gojo is the most profound. This is because it is deeply personal and connected to Gojo’s very identity as a human being. While individuals like Kenjaku may despise Gojo for his ability to foil their schemes, Nanami’s dislike stems from his feelings towards Gojo as an individual.

Final Thoughts

Despite the animosity that characters like Nanami, Kenjaku, and Sukuna may hold towards Gojo, none of them can match the intense disdain that Gege Akutami harbors for him. Gege has openly expressed his strong aversion to Gojo, to the extent that it may be a contributing factor to Gojo’s limited presence in the manga.

Despite Sukuna being consistently depicted in a majestic manner, fans have pointed out that all the artwork featuring Gojo has been rather lackluster. This only adds to the belief that Gege is the ultimate hater of Gojo, both in the real world and in fiction.
