9 Most Insane Jujutsu Kaisen Theories That Somehow Came True

One of the most thrilling experiences for fans of anime and manga is when a long-standing theory is proven to be true, and the Jujutsu Kaisen fanbase has seen numerous examples of this in recent times. Despite being a well-crafted series that often keeps its major reveals hidden, dedicated theorists have consistently predicted Akutami’s biggest twists and revelations.

Some may be annoyed by the behavior of certain fans who spoil the enjoyment for others, but it serves as a testament to the intelligence and abilities of those who come up with these Jujutsu Kaisen theories. Furthermore, there have been a handful of accurate predictions made by this particular fanbase that are truly impressive in their accuracy.

Craziest Jujutsu Kaisen Theories Always Seem to Come True, Including Sukuna’s Plans for Megumi and More

Despite only partially coming true, fans’ Jujutsu Kaisen theory was still remarkably accurate. The initial speculation proposed that Yuji was the reincarnation of Sukuna’s twin, providing a possible explanation for Sukuna’s animosity towards Yuji and Yuji’s exceptional ability as a vessel for Sukuna.

Nevertheless, it was revealed in chapter 257 that Jin Itadori, Yuji’s father, was actually the reincarnated soul of Sukuna’s twin brother. This would technically make Yuji Sukuna’s nephew, at least in a spiritual sense. While fans may not have been entirely correct in their predictions, the fact that they were on the right track is still a significant accomplishment.

2) Yuji’s Mastery of Black Flash

The 257th chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen revealed that protagonist Yuji Itadori had finally mastered Black Flash, making yet another of the many fan theories about the series come true. This theory had been speculated on by fans since the Kyoto Goodwill Event arc, and recent developments in the series have only further solidified its likelihood.

The confirmation of this theory is based on Yuji’s achievement of hitting eight consecutive Black Flashes in chapter 257, which was focused on a string of combat. This surpasses the previous record of four, which was co-held by Yuji and Kento Nanami. Therefore, it can be concluded that this theory has indeed proven to be true.

Sukuna’s Intentions for Megumi

In the Shibuya Incident arc, Sukuna’s grand plans for Megumi Fushiguro were revealed to fans when he chose to spare his life and declared that he was not allowed to die yet.

After nearly a hundred chapters, this theory of Jujutsu Kaisen was once again proven correct when Sukuna utilized his Binding Vow with Yuji to possess Megumi’s body. This further solidified the fact that Sukuna has been desiring Megumi’s abilities and talents since the start of the story.

4) Tsumiki as an Ancient Sorcerer

One of several Jujutsu Kaisen theories that were proven to be accurate was the idea that Megumi’s sister Tsumiki was the vessel for an ancient sorcerer. This theory was initially proposed when Tsumiki was identified as a participant in the Culling Game after appearing to have been visited by Kenjaku. Just before Sukuna took control of Megumi’s body, it was revealed that Yorozu, an ancient sorcerer who was in love with Sukuna, had been reborn within Tsumiki.

5) Fake Ghetto

Out of all the Jujutsu Kaisen theories mentioned, this one is probably the most easily predictable, but still impressive for its accuracy. After the release of Jujutsu Kaisen 0 and the Gojo’s Past arc, fans pointed out that Suguru Geto did not always have the distinctive forehead scars that were previously shown in the main series.

The conclusion of the Shibuya Incident arc serves to confirm something that fans had suspected all along – that “Geto”was actually the ancient sorcerer Kenjaku, who is also known as Noritoshi Kamo. This twist had been hinted at earlier in the arc, with Gojo stating that the Geto he encountered was not the same person he knew before being imprisoned in the Prison Realm.

6) Maki’s Journey to Becoming the Next Toji

It was one of the earliest theories in Jujutsu Kaisen that centered around Maki Zen’in, who was known for her exceptional physical abilities despite lacking Cursed Energy. As a result, fans speculated that she would eventually gain a power boost that would allow her to compete with Grade 1 and higher sorcerers, despite not having any Cursed Energy.

Following the Perfect Preparation arc, fans were further convinced of their belief that Maki would become the next Toji in the mainline series with the introduction of Toji Fushiguro. This theory was solidified when Maki fulfilled her Heavenly Restriction through Mai’s death, solidifying her role as Toji 2.0. The series even made a point to establish her as the “successor”to Toji.

Yuji’s Ability: Blood Manipulation

In addition to the numerous Jujutsu Kaisen theories introduced earlier in the series, Choso’s declaration of Yuji as his brother sparked speculation among fans that Yuji possessed the ability to manipulate blood. As the Shibuya Incident arc unfolds, the true identity of Kenjaku is revealed to be Noritoshi Kamo, further supporting the theory that he is Yuji’s mother, as later confirmed in the Itadori’s Extermination arc.

The ongoing arc of the series, which is rumored to be the final one, ultimately solidified this fact when Yuji effectively utilized the Blood Manipulation Cursed Technique against Sukuna. Although there has been no official explanation on how Yuji acquired this Technique, it is clear that it is connected to both Kenjaku and Choso.

Yuta’s Domain Expansion

It has been a widely held belief among fans of Jujutsu Kaisen that Yuta Okkotsu possesses a Domain Expansion, and this theory has recently been confirmed in the ongoing arc. This speculation stemmed from Yuta’s high rank as a Special Grade, indicating he likely possessed the ability to unlock a Domain Expansion, if he had not already done so.

The theory that the power of Rika’s cursed energy gives him the necessary boost to create a Domain Expansion was further reinforced by the fact that Yuji was able to use his Domain against Sukuna in chapter 249, confirming the beliefs of fans. This highlights the significant increase in cursed energy that Yuji receives from Rika.

Megumi’s Act of Killing Gojo

Despite facing heavy criticism from fans when it was originally proposed by theorists, this theory regarding Megumi’s potential willingness to kill Gojo remains one of the few Jujutsu Kaisen theories on this list. Akutami’s use of foreshadowing through artwork and dialogue provided substantial evidence for this idea, but many found it difficult to believe that Megumi would choose to kill Gojo.

Despite not wanting to harm Gojo, Megumi’s hands were ultimately responsible for his death, as Sukuna possessed his body and used it to carry out the act. This outcome proved the theory to be correct, solidifying it as one of the many Jujutsu Kaisen theories that were proven true.

In summation

Despite the many fan theories that have been disproven in the series, there are some Jujutsu Kaisen theories that have been proven to be either completely or partially correct. Luckily, the ones that have been confirmed to be true are typically the most intriguing, and it is hoped that this will also apply to the conclusion of the series and the remaining unresolved plot points.
