Fans are criticizing Big Ed Brown for his apparent lack of concern for Liz Woods’ daughter on the current season of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?
After his unsuccessful attempt at making taco pasta for her 10-year-old daughter, Ryleigh, on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Season 8, Big Ed Brown got into a heated argument with Liz Woods and stormed off.
The 90 Day Fiancé star contacted his fiance to discuss the situation after she learned that he had cancelled the wedding through their officiant.
In the April 29 episode, Big Ed stated that he had gone above and beyond to ensure Liz’s daughter’s comfort during their move from San Diego to Arkansas. This included setting up her room and organizing a fun summer vacation.
However, he didn’t anticipate that Liz would have to bring Ryleigh along with her to their last-minute meeting at a bar. It didn’t occur to him that she wouldn’t have anyone available to watch her daughter.
Despite Liz’s genuine concern for her daughter, Big Ed responded in a selfish manner, saying “Liz, you’re her mom. It’s been three days since we last spoke.”
During their fight, Big Ed’s comment to Liz was heavily criticized by 90 Day Fiancé fans on Reddit. Many accused him of not showing any concern for Liz’s daughter.
“The original poster wrote that you were about to become her stepfather, yet your response when she asked where she could take her child was, ‘That’s your response?’.”
Some other fans were displeased with Big Ed’s behavior of itemizing everything he did for Ryleigh in order to prove a point. They argued that he was not being authentic and was trying too hard to portray himself as a hero.
He clarified that while he did move because of Liz, it was not entirely accurate as he had actually relocated to his hometown in Arkansas to be closer to his own family.
It is widely believed among fans that Big Ed has made it evident he has no intention of fulfilling his responsibilities as a potential stepfather to Ryleigh.
It is believed that he made the right decision by ending the relationship, rather than remaining in Liz’s life and potentially being a negative influence on her daughter.
