Recap of the previous episode
Despite the ongoing focus on Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke reuniting and training to confront Muzan and his demons following their arc in the Swordsmith Village, this arc has also allowed for other characters to have their own moments to shine through various interactions. Nevertheless, in this particular episode, the attention shifted back to Tanjiro as he made his triumphant return after healing from the injuries sustained in previous seasons.
The main focus of the episode was on Tanjiro’s training with Tengen Uzui, the former Hashira. The challenges he faced while trying to reach such a high level in a short period of time were highlighted. Additionally, there were entertaining interactions between Tanjiro and Tengen’s wives during the training.
One of the most captivating scenes in the anime was the addition of a conversation between two Hashira, Sanemi Shinazugawa and Obanai Iguro, which was not present in the original source material. This exchange provided further insight into their personalities and motivations as they prepare for the ultimate showdown against Muzan and his dwindling demon army. Interestingly, this was not the first time the two had shared a moment, as Ufotable had previously included a similar scene in the first episode of the current season.
What to anticipate in the fourth episode of Demon Slayer season 4?
The current Hashira Training arc has been acknowledged by many manga readers to be lacking in major battles. Instead, fans can anticipate more character development and backstory revelations through training and personal growth. As the title suggests, this arc is centered around the characters’ efforts to become stronger.
Hence, it is likely that the fourth episode of Demon Slayer season 4 will center on character interactions and may also incorporate some anime-original scenes, similar to the ones showcasing Obanai and Sanemi in the previous episode or the new ones introduced in the current one.
