Baldur’s Gate 3 Player Successfully Completes Act 2 in the Wrong Order

Despite most Baldur’s Gate 3 players completing Act 2 in a specific order, this player managed to finish the story in reverse.

In most cases, Act 2 involves the player’s journey to the Last Light Inn, obtaining a way to safely pass through the Shadow Curse, and ultimately making their way to Moonrise Towers where they will confront and defeat Ketheric Thorm.

Despite the fact that most players typically follow the storyline in that particular order without considering the sequence of events, there was one player who successfully completed it in the exact opposite manner.

The Reddit post described the player’s individual encounter, where they chose to visit Moonrise Towers before the Last Light Inn.

Upon seeing the Last Light Inn, the player assumed it was a high-level zone with a mysterious aura, causing them to initially disregard it. However, they soon discovered that this aura would have safeguarded their party from the Shadow Curse.

Despite never setting foot in the Last Light Inn, this player successfully defeated Nightsong and Ketheric, widely known as the most challenging part of Act 2. As a result, they were treated to a cutscene featuring a mysterious white-haired woman whom they had never encountered before.

Following their encounter with Ketheric, they made their way to the Last Light Inn and were taken aback to encounter level six enemies. It dawned on the player that they may have made a mistake after their Tav mentioned something about not breaking the curse.

The post concluded with a query about the possibility of lifting the curse, to which one response stated, “I don’t believe the curse can be lifted at this point.”The respondent also clarified that the curse was no longer relevant.

The original poster was given advice by players to “always pay attention to the information pop ups”and “not be afraid of exploring”in order to improve their gameplay.

The remainder of the responses essentially indicated that they had skipped 90% of Act 2.

Despite players referring to the Shadow Cursed Lands as “nightmare-fuel”, the player who missed out on this content would have missed out on substantial experiences, including the Gauntlet of Shar and Halsin’s questline.

The original poster replied with an optimistic attitude, stating, “That’s even more content for my second run!”

Despite skipping most of Act 2, the replay value of Baldur’s Gate 3 ensures that their second playthrough will be significantly different.
