Yoru reveals her masterplan to defeat the Chainsaw Man in Chapter 176

Chainsaw Man Chapter 176 ultimately provides Yoru with a means to defeat the Devil mentioned in the title, although not without a cost.

Despite being one of the Four Horsemen, Yoru is not nearly as powerful as Pochita in Chainsaw Man. Pochita’s legendary power includes the ability to erase entire concepts from existence.

Within mere seconds, he has already conquered her, obliterating her arms from existence, and is now on the verge of ending her life.

As Yoru faces her impending death, she reflects on her conversation with Asa. Chapter 176 of Chainsaw Man, titled ‘Two Children’, depicts the two sitting in a bath together as they discuss the only way to defeat Pochita, or even have a chance against him.

Asa pleads with Yoru to put an end to their feud with the Chainsaw Man. However, the War Devil discloses that she is unable to do so as Pochita has devoured her allies and she must find a way to make him regurgitate them. Furthermore, she claims to have a method, but it requires a sacrifice so immense that she has yet to attempt it.

Despite facing imminent death at the hands of the Chainsaw Man, Yoru remains resolute and willing to make the ultimate sacrifice. In a sudden twist, the War Devil summons her two children, the Gun Devil and the Tank Devil, and utilizes them as her weapons.

In a moment, Yoru swiftly cuts through the Chainsaw Man, unleashing the Mouth Devil and restoring mouths to the world. However, in doing so, she has essentially sacrificed her children.

Despite the fact that she is known as the War Devil and potentially the origin of all weapons, it is possible that Yoru still has more children yet to be revealed. She holds the ability to summon them at will, making her the sole entity capable of halting the Chainsaw Man’s rampage.
