Modern Warfare 3 players are expressing disappointment with the newly released JAK Devastators Aftermarket Part, with many believing there is a “serious” issue related to its fire rate.
Efforts to innovate the Create a Class system and weapon unlocks in Call of Duty have been ongoing, but Modern Warfare 3 introduced Aftermarket Parts, adding a unique twist to the experience. Initially, some players referred to certain unlocks as “pointless.” However, others have become essential for various weapons, such as the JAK Glassless optic, which has become the preferred sight in Warzone.
With the arrival of the long-awaited JAK Devastators kit in the final week of Season 5 Reloaded, players can use the Reclaimer 18 shotgun in an akimbo style, evoking the nostalgia of the Model 1887’s influence in the original Modern Warfare 2.
Despite this innovation, many players are frustrated with the new attachment due to its significant reduction in the shotgun’s fire rate.
“The concept is very promising – akimbo shotguns that can fire fast. However, it’s underwhelming and buggy,” one fan commented. “Using it right now, it’s disappointingly bad,” another added.
The JAK Devastators kit is designed for the Reclaimer 18 Shotgun.
One Reddit user pointed out that the Reclaimer 18’s AMP might be bugged in a “serious” manner.
“I genuinely don’t believe this was a deliberate design choice,” they stated, sharing comparison clips between the standard Reclaimer and the JAK Devastators.

While some players speculate that the fire rate issue may be intentional for balancing, if it is indeed a bug, it would require attention from the developers.
This potential fix could arrive in Season 6, as discussions about the upcoming update suggest it may represent the final global meta shift for Modern Warfare 3, including adjustments to MW2 weapons. Players will have to stay tuned for updates.
