ISAC Ratings Success: Highlights from the Comeback – What Was the Best Moment?

The first segment of MBC’s “2024 Chuseok Special Idol Star Athletics Championships”(commonly referred to as “ISAC”) aired on September 16th and garnered impressive ratings—1.3% in the key demographic of viewers aged 20-49 and 3.7% among households in metropolitan areas. This impressive performance secured the top spot among all programs airing simultaneously.

A standout moment was the women’s archery finals, which showcased a thrilling competition between KISS OF LIFE’s Natty and ILLIT’s Yunah, reaching a peak audience rating of 5.2% (as reported by Nielsen Korea).

Making a return after a two-year hiatus, the “2024 ISAC” featured a remarkable lineup of MCs, including Jun Hyun-moo, Jang Min-ho, Young Tak, Lee Chan-won, Kang Daniel, and NMIXX’s Haewon and Jung Dong-won. From the event’s opening ceremony, the chemistry and humor of the seven hosts were evident.

The event kicked off with a swearing-in ceremony led by TWS’s Shinyu, ILLIT’s Wonhee, NMIXX’s Sullyoon, and NCT WISH’s Sion, officially marking the beginning of the “ISAC”festivities.

This year’s women’s team archery event was filled with memorable highlights. The participating teams included NMIXX, Center Union (comprising WOOAH’s Wooyeon, tripleS’s Yooyeon, ARTMS’s Heejin, and KISS OF LIFE’s Natty), ILLIT, and STAYC. In an exciting matchup, WOOAH’s Wooyeon scored notably high for NMIXX, ensuring their place in the finals. ILLIT also made it to the finals, where Center Union triumphed after an intense competition, ultimately winning the gold medal.

Looking ahead, the preview for “ISAC Part 2″promises thrilling highlights, including high-energy dance battles and an electrifying futsal match featuring a team of futsal legends facing off against a team of rising stars.
