In Baldur’s Gate 3, you will find all kinds of resources to use. However, even though some are rarer than others, that doesn’t mean these key resources should be neglected.
Baldur’s Gate 3 throws many challenges at you. Whether it’s being attacked by a beast, cursed by a witch, or even brutally crushed by a rock – there are so many things that can go wrong while exploring every corner of Faerun.
Even with the best companions at your side, the game can become quite unpredictable at times. Faced with all these challenges, it is crucial for players to learn how to manage their resources. Although there is a wide range of resources in the game, one player on Reddit expressed his opinion regarding one key resource that players should not forget.
A Baldur’s Gate 3 player reminds players of these key resources
Reddit user u/Official_Wendys posted a post reminding players to use their scrolls, poisons and potions. The reason is that he finished the game with hundreds of them in his inventory.
“It happens with every new RPG I start,” he mentioned. “Don’t be that RPG player like me. These things are made to be used. They are literally useless if you accumulate them.”

Since the thread was posted, it has been flooded with comments from other players responding to the issue. One of the top answers was: “Every time I’m out of combat, I think about it. Every time I’m in combat, I immediately forget again.”Many players seemed to agree.
Another fan suggested his idea to deal with this situation. “No, the plan is not to sell them, but to never use them, accumulate hundreds of them, and then realize in the final battle that I have them all, and still not use them! I’ve been doing this since the first FFVII lol.”
Conversely, one answer claims that this is a strategy they use in a game other than Baldur’s Gate 3. “In Icewinddale, I accumulated all the good material until the very last fight against the big bad. Needless to say, it was pretty easy with tons of scrolls and potions on hand lol.”
To better understand, players can collect all kinds of loot throughout Baldur’s Gate 3, but there is a limit. Accumulating too many items will give players the cluttered effect, so it is ideal to sell the unnecessary items or use them at the right time.
