A Baldur’s Gate 3 player was stunned to discover that Yugir can appear at camp during a brief and rare encounter.

Baldur’s Gate 3 was one of the biggest games of 2023. In addition to winning the Game of the Year award, Baldur’s Gate 3 impressed fans with its in-depth narrative, customization, and more.

And although the game has been out for over six months, fans continue to discover new interactions, secrets, and more, thanks to the game’s immense scope.

For one Baldur’s Gate 3 player, a simple return to camp turned out to be much more than it seemed. The player posted an image to Reddit, revealing that he was visited by none other than Yugir, an interaction many didn’t know was possible.

The reason for this rare interaction comes from choices players have likely already made before this point.

For example, many Baldur’s Gate 3 players may have already killed Yugir at this point in the game to help Astarion, another beloved companion in the game.

However, another player pointed out that, “He only comes to camp, I believe, if you help him by killing the rat guy. When you meet him in the House of Hope, you can win him over to your cause with a dice roll, but I believe if you kill the rat guy, he’s right on your side.”

While other BG3 players noted that they also had the encounter, the vast majority were completely shocked by the moment.

One Redditor commented, “I didn’t know he could be at camp!” Another added, “This only happens if you help him and don’t kill him, right? I always killed Yugir to help Astarion.”

In addition to commenting on their surprise, Baldur’s Gate 3 fans were also curious if her presence at the camp makes Yugir an option for romance. However, those who experienced the encounter revealed that Yugir will reject you if you try to seduce him.

“He says he has to leave quickly otherwise ‘his absence will be noticed’. He disappeared as soon as our conversation ended,” another player added when asked if you can romance Yugir during this interaction.
