How to Cook in REKA

In REKA, you can utilize the oven in your cottage to prepare all the recipes available. Ensure that the fire in your oven is active—this can be accomplished by placing wood in the compartment at the back of the oven.

If you lack wood, you will need to forage for some.

Once you have wood in the oven, go to the front of the oven to interact with it. This action opens your inventory, allowing you to select three ingredients to cook with.

After selecting your third ingredient, the oven will automatically begin cooking if your selection matches any known recipe’s criteria. Experimenting with different ingredient combinations can lead to discovering new recipes in REKA.

Every recipe displays a timer that counts down in the open-face oven. Upon completion of a recipe, a notification will appear in the bottom left corner of your screen, informing you that your dish is ready.

You have the option to queue up recipes by choosing more ingredients while another is still cooking; however, you can only have one recipe cooking and one waiting at a time.

How to Get Ingredients in REKA

Ingredients can be gathered throughout the world of REKA:

Foraging in the wilderness.
Purchasing from Bogdan or other trading NPCs in each village.
Collecting from your cottage.

Wondering about that last point? To acquire eggs in REKA, you need to retrieve Baba Jaga’s chickens from her original farm and bring them inside your cottage. Once you have a chicken indoors, it becomes your pet, allowing you to collect eggs from it.

Alternatively, you can also procure eggs from the chickens belonging to villagers if you come across a chicken farm. You may utilize your crows to frighten the chickens and steam the eggs if desired.
