In the game Satisfactory, players encounter a myriad of alien wildlife, with some creatures being harmless while others can be quite terrifying. The game’s AI for these creepy crawlers has been enhanced over time, making them more unnerving as they lurk around your megafactories. If these creatures give you the creeps, fear not! You can transform them into adorable kitties thanks to Satisfactory’s Arachnophobia mode. Here’s how to enable this fun feature.
How to Enable Arachnophobia Mode in Satisfactory
Activating Arachnophobia mode is a simple process. Open the main menu while playing, navigate to the options, and select the gameplay tab. Within the gameplay settings, locate the “general” category. Scroll down until you find the Arachnophobia mode option, check the box to activate it, and be sure to hit “Apply” to save your changes.
Effects of Arachnophobia Mode in Satisfactory
When Arachnophobia mode is active, spiders will be replaced by an image of a kitty, making their monstrous appearance much cuter. While this png replacement might seem awkward as the kitties dash toward you, the effect adds a humorous twist to the game.
Some players may find this approach a bit lazy, but it adds a unique and funny element to the game. The added meows as the cats approach just perfect this entertaining experience.
You may notice that spiders come in various sizes. While all spiders are still present, distinguishing the tougher ones from the weaker ones becomes challenging since they are all represented as cats. However, different cat images correspond to each spider type or size, which might take some time to adjust to, especially for players accustomed to using ranged weapons like rifles, as their hitboxes may appear unusual when aiming.
If you find it difficult to contend with these cat versions of spiders, using a Jetpack allows you to fly above them, giving you ample time to aim and shoot safely.
