In the game Devas of Creation, one of the elusive quests you will discover near the conclusion of the In Pursuit of Echoquartz storyline is the “Hunt Rokos” quest. The game provides minimal information about this quest, but don’t worry, we’re here to assist! Continue reading for a detailed guide on how to locate and defeat Rokos in Devas of Creation.
How to Find Rokos in Devas of Creation
In Devas of Creation, Rokos is categorized as a mini-boss, tasked to you by April during the In Pursuit of Echoquartz quest. Rokos is situated to the far east of Umbral Gorge, right outside the wooden barrier surrounding the primary camp. You can see his exact location marked on the map above.
To reach the camp, follow the path uphill from April and stay close to the side of the road that directs towards Umbral Gorge. If Clan Defenders and Clan Archers are emerging from bushes, you’re on the right track. If you start encountering Trolls, retreat a bit, because that path leads to Antbound Wilds, another area designated for upcoming quests.
While heading towards the camp, you can avoid several sections and most enemies if you stay close to the right side of the mountains. Additionally, there’s a shortcut right outside the main camp’s entrance that enables you to reach Rokos directly; take a look at the image above (double jump to get over the rocks and onto the clearing where Rokos awaits).
If you possess a mount, you can also bypass all Clan Defenders and Clan Mages, as they’re unable to damage you or dismount you while you’re galloping. However, be cautious, as Clan Archers will attack you once you are in their range, so try to evade them.
How to Hunt Down Rokos in Devas of Creation
Prior to engaging Rokos, it is advisable to take out the Clan Archers, as attracting their attention won’t alert Rokos, and they can obstruct your fight. For this, utilize a ranged weapon such as a Bow or an Ice/Fire Staff.
When you engage Rokos, the battle is fairly straightforward. He doesn’t have any leaping attacks, so you can deal damage from a distance initially. Once you switch to melee, your first parry (perfect block) will trigger his unblockable red attack (with a cooldown of ~20 seconds), which you will need to dodge. After that, continue parrying and landing hits until he is defeated.
After defeating Rokos, make sure to loot him and then report back to April to complete the quest and earn additional EXP. At this point, you may also question whether it’s worth it to undertake April’s repeatable quest, Subdue the Clan Forces, and the short answer is a definitive no. The mages have limited spawn points, and the EXP rewards are not substantial.
With all this information at hand, you should now be better equipped to find and hunt down Rokos in one of Devas of Creation’s more enigmatic quests.
