Fortunately, the game allows you to start the Vessel of Hatred campaign with a new character without being tied to any prior completion.

Initiating the Vessel of Hatred Campaign in Diablo 4

To directly access the Vessel of Hatred campaign, players must have acquired the expansion and completed the original campaign on any of their characters within the game.

If you meet both criteria, you are free to jump into the Vessel of Hatred campaign. Head to the character selection screen and create a new character. Choose your preferred class, customize your character as desired, and assign it a name.

Once you’ve completed these steps, you’ll be presented with gameplay options labeled as “Seasonal” and “Hardcore.” There will be a button labeled “Change Campaign State” above these options. Click this button, and you will be presented with two choices: proceed with the original campaign or venture into the Vessel of Hatred campaign.
