Deeds and Diversions is a challenging side quest that players can undertake for 10,000 Reeve and a unique piece of armor called the Chef’s Togue. However, there is an issue; you can’t acquire the required deed until you’ve successfully completed a specific preceding quest.

To ensure you snag that coveted armor and maximize your quest completions in Metaphor ReFantazio, you’ll want to follow this guide on how to fulfill Deeds and Diversions.

Before diving in, keep in mind that the suggested level for this quest is 35, and it isn’t time-sensitive, allowing you to take your time.

Prerequisite Quest Completion

Before you kick things off, ensure you’ve completed the Superior Scrimshaw Hunt. This will provide you with the necessary experience to craft the ideal narrative for the NPC you’ll encounter in Deeds and Diversions.

While it’s possible to start Deeds and Diversions in advance and then tackle the Superior Scrimshaw Hunt, finishing the latter first will streamline your progress without interruptions during conversations.

To commence the Superior Scrimshaw Hunt, make your way to the Craftsman located in the Merchants’ Bazaar in Port Brilehaven. Initiate a conversation with him, accept the quest, and proceed to defeat the Orgas. Once that’s done, you’ll be set to continue with Deeds and Diversions.

Completing Deeds and Diversions

To successfully navigate Deeds and Diversions, follow these steps:

Engage with the Overfamiliar Man
Locate the Noble
Share your experiences with him
Return to the Overfamiliar Man

Step 1: Locate the Overfamiliar Man

To initiate Deeds and Diversions, proceed to Port Brilehaven and find the Nightprowler near Angler’s Inn Square. The Overfamiliar Man can be found just outside.

Engage him in conversation, where he’ll explain that a loan lender has made off with his Deed and hasn’t returned it, even after his repayment.

It becomes your quest to recover it for him.

Step 2: Seek out the Noble

After your discussion with the Overfamiliar Man, he will direct you to find a noble with a “particular interest in bloodsports.”

The clue indicates that this noble can be found at the Coliseum, so head over to The Varmareno Coliseum.

If you need assistance, it’s located near the Arenafront Wharf in Port Brilehaven. Use the northwest exit to reach it easily, and watch for a Pompous Noble clad in purple.

Step 3: Persuade the Noble to return the deed

Upon finding the Pompous Noble, engage him in conversation. He will reveal that he possesses the deed. You’ll want to select the following dialogue options:

“You know me, I trust?”
“Such a tawdry area, this.”
“I’ve seen great wonders.”

Following this, share your tale of your adventure to the Forsaken Tower, a location from the Superior Scrimshaw Hunt. Without completing that quest, you’ll find it difficult to impress him enough to give up the deed.

Afterward, choose: “You know the Forsaken Tower?”

This will intrigue him, leading him to ask what you desire in return for the story. Select the Deed, and he will hand it over to you.
