The Heaven-Splitting Lightning update is widely considered the largest update to come to Cookie Run Kingdom since its third Anniversary Festival event and Beast Yeast update in 2024. This latest update introduces a brand new type of cookie, a powerful legendary character, and numerous other impressive updates.
Newest Legendary Cookie – Stormbringer Cookie
The newest legendary character in Cookie Run Kingdom is Stormbringer Cookie, who brings with her the exciting new electricity element. As a front-lining, charge-type cookie, she is the first to showcase this unique ability. Read on to learn more about Stormbringer Cookie and her special powers.
- Lightning Blitzstorm (13 sec cooldown) – At the start of battle, Stormbringer Cookie becomes supercharged when her critical chance reaches a certain percentage. This grants supercharge buffs to all electricity-type allies. Once supercharged, Stormbringer Cookie’s regular attacks will trigger Chain Lightning after a certain number of hits. Additionally, her skill involves swinging her Heaven Splitter to inflict damage and Zap on enemies. Although not much is known about Stormbringer Cookie, it is clear that she is the ruler of the skies. She wields a formidable spear known as the Heaven-Splitter, which enables her to harness lightning and defeat her enemies. Stormbringer Cookie is just the beginning of a new expansion in Cookie Run Kingdom, which will introduce numerous sky deities and cookies with lightning abilities.
New Electricity Element Type
For the past few years, Cookie Run Kingdom has been limited to only six elements. However, the latest update has now introduced a seventh element called electricity. With the release of Cookie Run Kingdom version 5.4, some previously established cookies have been reassigned to these new element categories.
- Black Lemonade Cookie
- Blueberry Pie Cookie
- Dark Cacao Cookie
- Frilled Jellyfish Cookie
- Olive Cookie
- Shining Glitter Cookie
- Twizzly Gummy Cookie
- Wizard Cookie
Currently, there isn’t anything particularly thrilling about the new element, except for the fact that players can now create teams based on electricity. It is anticipated that as more electricity-type cookies are released, there will be a broader range of strategies for players to experience in both PvP and PvE gameplay.
New Lightning-Type Treasures
Two new treasure variants have been introduced along with the new cookies. These treasures are specifically for lightning-type cookies and have no value in any other element-based builds.
- The Thunder God’s Paper Charm inflicts electric-type damage on a nearby enemy equal to the total attack power of all cookies, prioritizing cookies as targets. Additionally, it eliminates all buffs.
Sublime Cake Tower
The newest addition to Cookie Run Kingdom is the Sublime Cake Tower, which consists of the Decadent Choco Cake Tower and the Endless Strawberry Cake Tower. This tower is filled with enemies and challenging boss battles, but players who successfully defeat them in each stage will receive various rewards such as gold, radiant crystals, and beascuit dough.
Cookie Alliance
As part of the update, the Cookie Alliance mode now includes a new artifact called Striking Lightning, which enhances electricity-based abilities and also increases attack damage when upgraded. This addition will slightly increase the number of artifact points that can be obtained on all difficulty levels.
