A Helldivers 2 Player Upgraded to the Deluxe Edition for an Adorable Reason

Helldivers 2 players love the game so much that they are now upgrading to the deluxe edition just to further support its developers.

The developers of Helldivers 2 haven’t had it easy since the game’s release. It instantly became a hit and surpassed some of the biggest games on Steam in terms of concurrent players. While this was certainly a great start for Helldivers 2, it subsequently caused server overload, with the developers, Arrowhead Games, constantly releasing patches to allow more soldiers the chance to fight for democracy.

They’ve worked tirelessly to increase the status of the server and have released a variety of patches to help improve the experience for everyone – and it’s clear the fanbase has noticed.

However, they didn’t buy it for the content, with the player continuing to say: “Not because I wanted the extras, but because I’m extremely impressed with what Arrowhead does for the community and the hard work that They provide. Everything from their activity on Reddit, Twitter, etc., to their response to concerns about bugs, features, and hackers, and how they keep us informed about what’s going on behind the scenes.”

At every stage, Arrowhead has produced patches and statements, and is dedicated to creating a joyful and chaotic experience for all, and now players are purchasing the Enhanced Edition “because [they] feel like they deserve it.”

The poster continued to praise and thank the developers for their hard work and transparency.

They weren’t the only ones, with hundreds expressing their appreciation in the comments, and their games improved.

“100% the way to spend your dollars. Well done, Helldivers” commented one user, while another added how they “luckily upgraded and got $20 super credits for extra armor because I want to support the devs.”

Others praised the poster for sharing, with many pointing out how they were “eager to do the same, and it gives the premium warbond so I can use my next supercredits on skins from the store instead.”

Ultimately, with so much love for the community and developers, one comment sums up the feeling of the player base towards Helldivers 2: “Never been so happy to spend my money on a game.”
