The Pokémon Company has announced Pokémon Legends: ZA, a new game in the Legends series that will take us back to the Kalos region and mark the return of Mega Evolutions.
The very last Pokémon Presents took place on February 27, 2024, revealing to fans of the pocket monsters the program for the months to come… and even some good news a little further away.
If players will have something to sink their teeth into soon with – among other things – the arrival of Charbambin in Pokémon Go, it is indeed the last announcement of Pokémon Presents that was expected, with the presentation of a new game stamped Game Freak.
Thus, The Pokémon Company unveiled Pokémon Legends: ZA, marking a return to the sixth generation and the Kalos region. A major surprise for many fans who didn’t expect to rediscover this France-based region anytime soon.
As a reminder, the sixth generation also marked the introduction of Mega-Evolutions. This iconic mechanic is at the origin of some of the most powerful and iconic Pokémon in the franchise. The appearance of the symbol of this very popular mechanic at the end of the trailer suggests its big return.

When will Pokémon Legends: ZA be released?
In the teaser for Pokémon Legends: ZA, we learn that the game is planned for the year 2025. Game Freak therefore played it safe, not risking revealing a date or even a more precise range too early.
The announcement of Pokémon Legends: ZA was a great way to end the Pokémon presentation. Fans have been waiting for a Pokémon Z for years, and while it’s its own entity, it still offers a gateway to learning more about Zygarde and a chance to revisit a much-loved region of the Pokémon series.
