A planet in Helldivers 2 has completely changed appearance leaving everyone suspicious

The inhabitants of Meridia in Helldivers 2 are bracing themselves for the worst as the planet undergoes a concerning transformation.

Since its launch, Helldivers 2 players have cultivated a healthy level of skepticism, and with good reason. Joel’s latest Major Order, which revealed the truth behind the Termicide conspiracy theories, has only intensified their scrutiny.

Despite the distraction of awesome new gear in the upcoming Polar Patriots Warbond, the sneaky developers cannot deceive the vigilant Soldiers of Super Earth. After the Termanid Control Systems broke down and caused an outbreak, Helldivers have taken notice of something alarming.

The planet of Meridia’s decline was initially brought to attention by Reddit user u/Superdude1437. The once lush jungle planet now appears as a desolate wasteland, as seen through the lens of Helldivers 2’s Galactic War map.

Had to double check old recordings… the situation in Meridia is WORSE than you imagine. The whole planet got terraformed! byu/Superdude1437 inHelldivers

In order to further develop the storyline within the game, Arrowhead released a statement announcing a modification. The announcement stated, “The Terminid control system has malfunctioned, resulting in the transformation of Meridia into a supercolony. It is possible that the use of Termicide is accelerating reproduction. It is imperative that the TCS is deactivated without delay.”

This could possibly clarify the significant transformation in Meridia’s appearance and potentially provide insight into the upcoming major order. However, players must first complete this one. With only two days remaining and the Umlaut Sector currently less than 50% liberated, time is of the essence.

Interestingly, u/Jack_26, another Helldiver, has observed that the supply lines to Meridia have been severed in the game’s backend. This suggests that the situation down there is far from ideal.

Without any means of reaching the planet, players are left to wonder about the appearance of Meridia’s surface when they eventually reach it. Some have hypothesized that the presence of signs such as earthquakes and enormous insect burrows could indicate the impending arrival of the Hive Lord, the feared enemy of Helldivers 2.
