Finding a bug in your favorite game is often fun. A Pokémon Go player recently discovered a strange glitch he dubbed “Pixeltar”after beating a Raid.
What was the last video game bug you saw? Finding something strange in one of your favorite titles can be quite funny, especially if it’s unexpected. Pokémon Go is a great game, but it has its fair share of weird moments and bugs that usually leave the community hilarious.
A gamer took to Reddit recently to share a weird screenshot he affectionately nicknamed “Pixeltar”after beating a Raid – and other gamers loved it, comparing it to all kinds of other video games and random characters.
Pokémon Go Player Finds Unusual “Pixeltar” Glitch
A Pokémon Go player shared a screenshot of the strange glitch in this post on Reddit with the caption “After beating a raid, I encountered…PIXELTAR.”The images show a very distorted and pixelated Tyranitar, accompanied by a random Ponchiot candy in the next slide.
Weirdest glitch. After beating a raid, i got to encounter… PIXELTAR byu/Matcha3212 inpokemongo
Other Pokémon Go players found the post hilarious, with one joking that it reminded them of the unofficial Pokémon MissingNo. If you’ve never heard of it, it’s a strange Pokémon glitch that can appear in previous generations of games like Red & Blue.
Which reminded other players of different franchises, with one person commenting “Paper Pokémon”, and another affectionately naming the creature “ROBLOX Version”.
Some viewers were perplexed by the random Ponchiot candy, asking the author where it came from. The author of the original post simply replied: “Lynx eye. I had exhausted my Pokémon storage, so I freed it up by transferring a Ponchiot right before this encounter, getting a Ponchiot candy in the process.»
There’s no clear answer as to why this glitch happened, but it’s always funny to see something like this appear in a popular game like Pokémon Go. From what we’ve seen, this appears to be a random incident rather than a continued problem in the game.
