The Horizons event is in full swing in Pokémon Go and fans are finding new ways to make it more lucrative for themselves. A player shared a valuable tip for getting more Pokémon spawns.
Have you checked out the Les Horizons event yet? It introduced some fan-favorite Pokémon into the game, like Charcbambin, Carmadura, and Malvalame, and there are other perks like more frequent Team Rocket balloons too.
A Pokémon Go player took to r/pokemongo recently to reveal his trick for finding even more Pokémon spawns than usual using one of the features of the Horizons event, using pop- ups of characters on the Capture screens.
A Pokémon Go player shares a useful tip for the Horizons event
Pokémon Go player MithonOsborne took to Reddit recently to share his advice with the community in this post, sharing a screenshot of an encounter with Captain Pikachu.
MithonOsborne encouraged players to “take AR photos specifically with Pokémon from the new series (like Charizard, Pikachu, etc.) and get surprise encounters,” noting that he found 2 Pikachu appearances this way and that appearances could be Shiny.
Some players in the responses thanked MithonOsborne for his tip with one player commenting “I’m not kidding, I read your post then I loaded my game, and on my third capture I got a shiny Pikachu. THANKS! !”
Another person in the replies enthusiastically thanked MithonOsborne after a lucky attempt, saying that “Ayo brother you called me back and I got the shiny, I love you so much right now.”
Other players shared what Pokémon they found this way, with many noting that Paldea Starters were incredibly common spawns. One disgruntled Pokémon Go player said “I want all Chochodile to burn by their own flame.”
A few people in the answers added to the original, noting that the Pokémon you take pictures of to trigger the Capture event doesn’t need to be from the series. Additionally, there is always a limit to the number of encounters you can get this way.
If you haven’t logged in yet and checked out the Les Horizons event, it’s absolutely worth it. Shiny hunters will have a blast with this event as there are increased spawns for popular Pokémon like Scyther, Tarinor, and Terhal and they can appear in Shiny.
