A Pokémon Go player’s epic masterstroke with his Master Ball

A Pokémon Go player sacrificed the rarest Poké Ball of all for a guaranteed capture just for aesthetics, but fans seem to appreciate it after seeing the “sick flex”the trainer captured.

It is well known among Pokémon players that the Master Ball is the best of them all, and it is quite difficult to find it because of this reputation.

While the Master Ball is often the reward after a long adventure in the main Pokémon games, players exploring the world of Pokémon Go must obtain a Special Study ticket and overcome several obstacles to finally get their hands on this elusive purple ball.

So, it’s best to choose a rare and powerful Pokémon whenever a trainer needs to decide how to use their Master Ball, which is why Pokémon Go players are so surprised by a trainer’s choice.

A Pokémon Go player captures a shiny Kyogre in a Master Ball

A Pokémon Go player, calling himself u/slimeay, shared a post on Reddit, showing off his proud capture from this weekend’s Primal Kyogre Raid Day, and he not only managed to capture a shiny version of the creature, but something even rarer.

Used a master ball just for the aesthetics, I’m well aware it would have been a gaurenteed catch regardless byu/slimeay inpokemongo

It’s pretty obvious why the person behind the original post would use their Master Ball, as they managed to find a shiny Kyogre with perfect IVs, or a Shundo (Shiny and Hundo – meaning perfect stats of 100).

Other Pokémon Go players commented their support and jealousy under the post, with one saying, “This is honestly such a sick flex. Congratulations on the shundo!”

Another comment says, “If I captured a Kyogre Shundo, I would be so happy.” While another added, “That’s a pretty cool combination. Definitely worst way to use a master ball.”

Some Pokémon players share their opinion on the choice, because although Kyogre Shundo is rare, a shiny Legendary encountered after a Raid has a significantly increased capture rate. Which means they are almost impossible not to capture, so the Master Ball was superfluous.

A comment from a trainer says, “It’s all fun until you encounter a Hundo Dark Mewtwo with 1 Honor Ball and no Master Ball remaining.” Finally, one person sums it up well, saying, “it’s stupid but it’s good, that’s all that matters, after all it’s just a game” .
