Actor Go Han-min’s Successful Journey: From “Queen Woo” to “Uprising”

Go Han-min has recently captivated viewers with his role as Soichiro, an interpreter for the Japanese general Genshin, in the Netflix film “Uprising.” His performance, particularly during a gripping action sequence involving Genshin and Chun-young, played by Kang Dong-won, left a memorable impact.

Set amidst the chaotic backdrop of the Japanese invasions of Korea, “Uprising” revolves around Jong-ryo, portrayed by Park Jung-min, the heir of a prominent military family, and his servant Chun-young. Tensions rise as Jong-ryo ascends to the position of a royal officer, leading to conflict with Chun-young, who aligns with the militia. Soichiro also emerges as a significant character in this tumultuous narrative.

Before his latest appearance in “Uprising,” Go Han-min showcased his talents in the action-laden historical series “Queen Woo.” In this show, Queen Woo races against time to secure a new king within 24 hours of the king’s death, all while contending with rival princes and five powerful clans. Go Han-min took on the role of Pa Ya, the White Tiger Tribe’s second-in-command, adding a layer of tension to the unfolding drama.

His experience across various productions, including “Hospital Playlist 2,” “Secret Royal Inspector & Joy,” “All of Us Are Dead,” and “Parasyte: The Grey,” has refined his acting prowess, which is clearly showcased in two of the most eagerly awaited titles of 2024.
