The 2024 SBS Drama Awards, held on December 21st at the SBS Prism Tower in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, showcased a series of moving and heartfelt speeches from the evening’s honorees.

Jung Yoo-min, who was honored with the Best Supporting Actress award in the Miniseries Genre/Action category, captivated the audience with a surprise pregnancy announcement during her acceptance speech. She expressed, “This has been a very special year for me. I completed filming for ‘Connection,’ then got married, and now I’m here with a baby inside me.” Her joyous announcement elicited enthusiastic applause throughout the venue.
Jung continued, “The baby came to me like a blessing. I’m naming the baby Taeyang, as I wish for him to grow up surrounded by love and happy people. To everyone watching, I wish you all the best.”
A Heartfelt Tribute to Motherhood
Lee Ha-nee, who received the Top Excellence Award for her role in “The Fiery Priest 2,” spoke tenderly about her experiences as a mother during her acceptance remarks. “Now that I have someone I cherish more than myself, I’m working on reducing my self-centeredness,” she revealed. She reflected on her career evolution post-30s, noting it as a transformative time in both her personal and professional life.
Expressing gratitude, she said, “I want to thank Ari for growing up so well while Mom was busy working. Also, a big thank you to my husband, Peter, and my parents for their support and guidance.”

Park Shin-hye, who received the Director’s Award, took the opportunity to express her appreciation for her husband, Choi Tae-joon, saying, “I want to thank Choi Tae-joon for always being my source of strength, reminding me that I’m doing well.” This acknowledgment of support resonated deeply with the audience.

Jang Na-ra, the recipient of the prestigious Daesang, garnered admiration with her touching tribute to her husband, camera director Jung Ha-cheol. Overwhelmed with emotion as she gave her speech, she remarked, “I got married on SBS. I love my husband Jung Ha-cheol immensely.
